"Did something people have been pleading me to do for years. Ive redesigned the feedback circuit in the model 12, allowing it to cross into full oscillation without sounding like a chicken receiving a pineapple up the wrong end...always a plus. Its going to be incorporated into the dual model 12 and with it, say goodbye to the three dual resonance level switch/ Have a listen, have a look, tell me whatddya think and thanks!"

YAMAHA DX7 DIGITAL SYNTHESIZER Yasuhiko Fukuda Programming Guide

"For your consideration is one used Yamaha DX7 Digital Synthesizer book by Yasuhiko Fukuda. 139 pages. It goes into the details of programming this somewhat complicated synthesizer, and also includes some interesting sample patches you can manually enter into your DX7. This edition is suitable for both the international and the USA model.

The book is in excellent condition with light dog-earing on the front and rear covers. The pages themselves are very clean with the exception of the last two (originally blank) pages which have had various algorithms hand-drawn on them (see pictures). I owned a TX7 at the time (25+ years ago!) and since the TX7 does not have the algorithms printed on it, I copied them off a DX7 and into the back of this book...

Please note: Some of the pages in the pictures appear to be stained. However, they are not. This is just a shadow from the lighting. There are no stains inside this book."

Mutable Instruments Yarns Arpeggiator

Published on Apr 21, 2014 bigcitymusic·327 videos

"Here is a brief exploration of the Mutable Instruments Yarns as an arpeggiator in (monophonic) "1M" mode. The Yarns MIDI to CV is connected to the Cwejman D-LFO which is being run through the Cwejman QMMF-4 and SPH-2. The GATE output of Yarns is connected to the 'TRIG' in of the Tides module. The Yarns modulation CV is connected to the Tides FM input so that pressing keys down produces legato notes while decreasing pressure on a key allows for staccato notes. The beginning of the video demonstrates how holding the 'START/STOP' button while playing a MIDI sequence latches on the arpeggiator, which means staccato notes freely run as hands remain off of the keyboard, and legato notes run while pressure is applied to a key. From here we experiment with various arpeggiation ranges, directions and patterns."

Live Modular Expression: Cello Patch

Live Modular Expression: Cello Patch from thijs de vlieger on Vimeo.

"i've been looking at getting a french connection or a roli seaboard, but can't justify the price. so i decided to see what i can do expression wise with a keyboard and my intellijel planar joystick. i tried to make a cello patch using braids's bowed mode, and it came out pretty nice i think!

played it live, no editing, line signal recorded straight into the camera.

soundcloud downloadable audio:
https://soundcloud.com/thijsnoisia/live-modular-expression-cello-patch

patch details for the illuminati:

planar x-axis going into cv mixer, only mixed in a little.

minibrute v/oct into maths for portamento, into cv mixer, on 100%.

cv mixer out into braids v/oct and multed to braids color.

planar y-axis multed and into mvca, braids timbre and a-124 wasp filter cutoff.

braids on BOWD mode, output to wasp filter. wasp freq at 13h30, just easing off the highest freqs. wasp output to mvca.

mvca to behringer vd400 (great bbd delay) and tc trinity on spring verb.

rhythm is by roland aira tr8, triggered by pamela's workout in euclidean. delay on tr8 is the built in delay with some step on/off programming in the sequence. tr8 is the master clock, clocking pam by audio: rimshot every 8th note out into doepfer 143-1 comparator, comparator then clocks pam's sync. the synth on the 1 is the aira tb-3 through the aira vt-1, into the the tr-8's sidechained input."
