Mors aliquid novi | A Prophet VS and acoustic 12-string guitar ambient improvisation soundscape

"Earlier this month I managed to replace the bone saddle in my 12 string guitar. I guess years of messing with the saddle (as well as expansion contraction in the basement gloom) caused it to deteriorate to a point where the strings wouldn't touch it and it sounded horrible. I've had this guitar since 2001, so somewhere around 14 years. It's felt nice to bring it back to that feeling of new, even though it was never well cared for. I just love the feel and sound of it. These videos where I even mention a guitar usually do distinctly awful. I guess the idea of mixing guitar with synths just rubs people the wrong way. But I liked it.

Dave Smith, from designing the famous Prophet 5 to his defining the MIDI spec, really dedicated himself to producing unique and capable instruments and technologies. This Poly Evolver is one of those. Full Specs below but the fact that this is a hybrid synth, combining analog and digital synthesis, with incredible modulation and built-in sequences, show the mind of genius Dave Smith.

Also the purple heart wood is an beautiful accent for this particular synth."

"Patch: Bass is the Dpvco mixing the alpha square with beta saw slightly detuned into the RF transistor mixer and into SH Vcf. The decay of the envelope filter is voltage controlled by Lucky Voltages giving a bit more groove.
The lead is a simple saw into the Diode Dream Vcf which can make internal fm from Vcf input to the filter cv frequency. This resonance sounds so bubbly and glassy with beautiful mid high frequencies!
All drums are from different sources mostly analog mixing into a vintage 70s mixer. The jam is directly recorded into daw. Sequencing is done with Beatsteppro."
