i’ve gotten a lot of comments asking me to make a longer version of 'just turn it on and make something.' while that’s not really something that i do on this channel, i was looking at the calendar over the summer and i realized that it’s the one-year anniversary of this video.

so short (long) thank you to everyone who decided to click on this video and give me a chance. thanks if you decided to stick around. and thanks for all the support over the past year. i can't believe it's already been that long. i hope i can do music full-time someday.

KORG Polysix – Vintage 80s Analog Synthesizer Demo | Cosmic Sounds

"🚀 Korg Polysix + Korg KR-55B = pure vintage cosmic electronics

Take a journey into the cosmic side of early-1980s analog synthesis.
In this demo, I'm using only two classic Korg machines: the legendary Korg Polysix analog synthesizer and the Korg KR-55B rhythm machine.

No DAW. No modern plugins. Just vintage analog hardware, simple sequencing, and the unmistakable character of early-80s electronic music.

The Polysix is a classic 6-voice polyphonic analog synthesizer, featuring a VCO with sawtooth, pulse and PWM, a sub-oscillator, resonant low-pass filter, ADSR envelope, LFO, arpeggiator, chord memory and built-in analog effects.

For this demo, I pushed the Polysix into a more cosmic, atmospheric and spacey direction, while the KR-55B provides the vintage rhythm foundation.

If you love vintage synthesizers, analog sound, retro electronic music, spacey synth sounds and classic drum machines, this one is for you.

"💎 Machine Dubs is a bank of 50 presets + sequences for Xfer Serum 2. The soundset focuses on rhythmic sounds and dark modular-style timbres. It makes extensive use of FM synthesis, samples, and complex modulations.
🧿 Some patches produce chords, while others create modular-style patterns. The overall sound is dark and atmospheric, sometimes noisy and atonal. Perfect for dub, techno, deep, house, IDM, experimental, EBM, industrial, and others.

🌋 The sequences cover a wide range of different timbres: plucks, basses, FX, leads, and rhythmic sounds. The sounds range from distorted and aggressive to short and long, deep and tiny, while maintaining an atmospheric character. Some sequences can be played on a single note or with several notes, while other timbres are in mono mode.

🎛️ The presets contain 8 macros, responsible for movement, tone, drive, length, resonance, and rhythm. The Modwheel brightens the tone and can add tremolo. Velocity adds dynamics.

💾 Compatible only with Serum 2.
Installation: Open the Serum menu and click 'Show Serum Presets Folder.' You will see folders containing different Serum content. Open the 'Presets' folder and place the new bank (folder) of presets there."
