DIY analog synth Project ( A montage of recorded sounds Part 2 )

Published on Dec 3, 2018 Adamski A.

"Back on the attack with another bunch of patches I made on the Ad-vantage 03m protosynth circuits.
Maybe one day i'll work out how to implement patch storage on this beast. Some sounds are dry and some run through my Lexicon MPX550 unit. Check out part one if you havn't already done so here:" [posted here]

Adamski Ajull DIY analog synth project (A monatge of recorded sounds)

Published on May 21, 2018 Adamski A.

"Hey guys , I thought It would be worth sharing a small compilation of some sounds I have recorded from my protosynth circuit/s. I hope this gives those who are new to the channel a flavour of what the protosynth is capable of . (Thou to be honest I barely scratch the surface as there is so may sound sculpting possibilities
The specs are as follows

3 x Voltage Controlled Oscillators with Sub Osc
2 x Multimode LP BP HP and notch Voltage Controlled Filters with Master Cutoff for both.
5 x analog LFOs (another to be added on the final build)
2 x A,D,S,R Envelope generators with speed response switching
1 x Voltage Controlled Amplifier
1 x Post VCA Wavefolder
1 x Analog BBD chorus
Hard Sync
3 way X-FM with feedback
Glide and Vibrato
Arduino midi to CV, Gate and Velocity
and (i'm sure I have missed some features) ."

DIY analog synth project (Steiner Parker Type VCF Version 2 Demo 1 7mins Acid Test)

Published on Mar 26, 2018 Adamski A.

"Here is the first in my short sound test demos, showcasing my Steiner Parker "type" voltage controlled filter which is a combination of ken stone and yves usson's designs. I replaced the diode string with npn transistors to see if I could put a nice twist on this very well known circuit, also the capacitors have under gone some experimentation.
Please leave your thoughts and comments ,either positive or negative on the sound I hope you guys can chip in and give this circuit a go.
I definitely see some potential for a eurorack module on this , so if anyone is intrested in helping develop this circuit further feel free to message me."

DIY analog synth project Steiner parker type VCF circuit (A new level of FATNESS !!)

Published on Mar 24, 2018 Adamski A.

"Hey guys , since the last Steiner parker filter video [posted here] , I still wasn't quite satisfied..... So I have yet again given the circuit an upgrade to achieve an even steeper cutoff slope and deeper low end response. I aimed for somewhere between 18-24db per oct and at the same time retaining the very controlled resonance response.
More sound demos to come very soon !!"

DIY analog synth project (Steiner Parker "Type" VCF The Final Tweak)

Published on Nov 7, 2017 Adamski Ajull

"Hey guys back again with yet another modified Stiener Parker type 12db per oct VCF, this based on a mashup of Ken stone and Yves Ussons schematics.
I have increased the diode ladder from 10-12, and also the size of the capacitors in the ladder and also my own tailored trimming for keyboard tracking.
There is also a trimmerble diode pair in the resonance network , which can at some points sound like a nice distortion pedal and tames the wild resonance. i have also changed values in the Freq Cut and Res potentiometers resistance to ground to compensate for the bigger change in top end content.
PLEASE USE HEADPHONES OR SPEAKERS TO CATCH THE LOW END PROPERLY ;-).
Again many thanks to Yves Usson and Ken Stone for their inspirational circuits."

DIY analogue synth project part 10i (Sound Examples Arp sequences)

Published on Sep 3, 2017 Adamski Ajull

"Hey guys I kind of skip a chapter here, my next sound examples video from part 10i was supposed to be strings and pads etc. Slight change of plan as im still in the process with that video. I have been tinkering again to get a good scaling on all three oscillators especially in the higher frequency range. Enjoy like, comment and subscribe ;-)

DIY analogue synth project Tutorial Part 12 (12db SEM type state variable filter)

"Hey guys here is another talk/tutorial from me covering my second VCFs' circuit topology. Please note you will need a bipolar +/-12 or +/-15v power supply for the quad op amp and the lm13700/lm13600 operational transconductatance amplifier. The original circuit I drew inspiration from is here in the following link, http://electro-music.com/wiki/pmwiki..... Also check out the original SEM schematic and there is yusynth versionwhich I cant find the link for. I will be posting my schematics soon with a link."

Zombie Chorus DIY Analogue Synth Project

Published on May 4, 2017 Adamski Ajull

"Here is a demo of some sound patches I have set up and run through the Zombie chorus circuit. Nothing spectacular but just to give you a small flavour of its sound. At times it distorts o me using the with heavy resonace from the filters , I think this is due to the nature of the MN3207s max headroom performance, so mabe in future ill buy and swap over to an mn3007."

DIY analogue synth project (Zombie Chorus Part 1)

Published on Apr 29, 2017

"Hey guys im back with a short video to introduce the analogue chorus effect circuit i have built , which is based on the Zombie Chorus Pedal, i have put in a few extra mods for satisfaction here and there, and hope to rig this up to my Diy synth. It is by no means completely finished or tweaked to my perfection yet, but its the 5th Chorus circuit i have built with success this time round. Sound demos coming soon Look below for links to schematics

ENSONIQ ESQ-1 Synthesizer 1986 | HD DEMO | PATCHES

Published on Jul 20, 2014 AnalogAudio1

"(c) 2014 by AnalogAudio1

You can buy these patches - read the description for further details.

Synthesizer demo of the ENSONIQ ESQ-1 from 1986.
The intro sequence was produced with the sequencer of the ESQ-1. In this movie I play my own sounds - on some sounds I used a small amount of reverb from a Lexicon MPX-500. In the short "Oxygene part" I also used an Electro-Harmonix SMALL STONE phaser and a delay from ROLAND DEP-5.

The ENSONIQ ESQ-1 is a hybrid synthesizer from 1986. It has 32 digital waveforms and analog lowpass filter. It is flexible, since it employs 3 oscillators, 4 envelopes, 4 DCAs and 3 LFO's per voice. OSC sync and amplitude modulation possible - like on analog synthesizers. It has a velocity sensitive keyboard. In my opinion the ESQ-1 behaves pretty much like an analog synthesizer. The main differences are: it has more complex envelopes than ADSR, and it has digital oscillators. It is 8 voice polyphonic. Also it has a built in pattern sequencer. It is a kind of "poorman's PPG". The English manual is written very well, it's a pleasure to read.

The ESQ-1 has been used by Adamski, Jean-Michel Jarre, Front Line Assembly among others...
