DX5 playing Pet Shop Boys "West End Girls" cover

video upload by DX5

"Extracted from the live streaming aired on October 2th, 2021, hence picture is more pixelled than usual (even!) and colours are bit more altered. No filter of any kind was used. I work with a 1994 camera ;-) . Also, some audio levels (Emax II specially) had to be balanced on the fly.

Emu Emax 2

Backtrack previously recorded on Pro Tools by me, track by track, building drums and bassline from scratch, including Roland Promars for the bassline.

DX5 playing Depeche Mode "The Landscape is Changing" cover (2021 version)

video upload by DX5

"Updating a cover I had already recorded ten years ago. I added slight corrections, also a few variations (a bit of lag on the intro brass, wrong notes intentionally played at 00:16, 01:19 and 04:17, etc) acting as watermarks.

Gear used (left to right, top to bottom):
Yamaha DX7 (portamento bell sound).
Roland JP8000 (arpeggiator synced to Pro Tools)
Kurzweil PC1x
Emu Emax II
Emu Emax I

DX5 playing Kraftwerk "Autobahn" (Mix Edit version) cover

video by DX5

"Cover based on the Mix version, not the original one. I just played it on my own way including variations in the rhythm pattern, etc. Some sections have been changed at the end to make it shorter than the 9 min version. As I had to switch between sounds just before playing the next sections, some missing notes can be found.

Roland MRS-2 Promars (3th lead sound and bender w/ resonance sounds)
Korg DW8000 (Glassy sound)
Access Virus TI Snow. Vocoder and lead sound
Kurzweil PC1x as MIDI controller, triggering the Virus
