"This is what I had to do to earn me some drinks as a struggling psychologist, I mean, musician!
My friend over at @Betehatve challenged me and other people to get creative with a chord progression in order to win some drinks, and I obviously couldn't resist.
Must be noted that I converted that prize into a TocoToco order because that granted me 12 drinks instead of 2 from the already [too many times] mentioned Starbucks.
I think I am also kinda legally obligated to state that Starbucks is not affiliated in any way with this, even though that would have been rad.

"There's nothing more inspiring than sampling a great sound to get your creative juices flowing when you're in the studio. In this video, we use the new MOOD MKII to process the OP-1 Field and sample that into the Elektron Digitakt. Once we have a solid foundation, we turn to the Digitone and Syntakt to drive us home with warm and full bass. Of course, the Octatrack MKII and the Analog Heat are there to make sure we can transition and process our tasty pattern in real-time. Morton Subotnick's seminal 1971 electronic work Sidewinder performed live at Tool's studio in Hollywood CA on March 26th, 2023 by Jill Fraser, Shiro Fujioka, Peter Grenader and Thomas Klepper, at the invitation of Joan LaBarbara, in celebration of his 90th birthday.

The idea of an adaptation of Sidewinder has been on the radar of zZyzx Society's Jill Fraser and Peter Grenader - both CalArts alumni who worked with Subotnick, for years. The process began with an abridged orchestration drafted by Peter Grenader, where the quartet was encouraged to both replicate his soundscapes and develop more interpretative timbres for the individual parts. With that, two general rules applied:

100% Digitone dub techno jam // Mastering Digitone part 2 groove

Ello, here's a new 100% Digitone jam. I created this groove for the Mastering Digitone course part 2. The groove itself you learn to create when following this second part of the course. The performance was recorded for this video. It's a deep dub techno groove made with only the Digitone. It still amazes me how much one can squeeze from this instrument. The little post processing I applied was a low cut eq to tone down the stuff below 30hz and a hint of dynamic EQ to make the mids a bit more forward. The limiter applied is practically doing nothing because I wanted the groove to sound as dynamic as it can be heard directly from the Digitone itself.

"This week I embarked on another sonic exploration with my trusty modular synth, digitone, and machine drum to create a new composition. As I plugged in the cables and turned on the machines, I felt a familiar excitement coursing through my veins. I began to tweak the knobs and dials on the modular synth, experimenting with different sounds and textures. The digitone provided a melodic foundation, and the machine drum added a pulsing beat that made my head nod. As the composition started to take shape, I lost track of time and became completely absorbed in the creative process. It was only when I stepped back and hit the "play" button that I realized I had just spent the last hour or so lost in the beautiful chaos of this composition.
