ARP 2600 Vintage Modular Analog Synthesizer Video
video upload by 123synthland

We deal in vintage synths, so we get to play a lot of fun toys. One of our favorites is the ARP 2600. We've sold many of them over the years, and each one sounds different. This is a video of 1 of a couple short "jam sessions" I had with the next 2600 we plan on putting up for sale. It's knobs are off as we were wrapping up cleaning and servicing this unit. We've got a keyboard for it but it wasn't used for this noisemaking session. ARP 2600s are well known for their filter instability. This one in particular is quite unstable - the filter clips really easily when the resonance is low, to the point where the sound can sometimes disappear, so it's great for distorted noises. Simply altering the volumes of the signals going into the filter and VCA can cause some very interesting rhythmic effects. Because of its unique sound, we decided to leave the filter the way it is rather than tweak it or replace it with a "better behaved" one. This video is a departure from my normal 10 second clips, so hopefully this won't bore you guys to death. :) Enjoy. Email us anytime at minime123@onebox.com"

DSI Prophet '08 Prototype
via JZ.
Click on the DSI link right below. Note this is different than the other shots of the Prophet 8.
Update: And this one was photoshopped folks. I didn't think it could be real considering how the others looked. Seemed a bit too far from it. The original image below via: link. Via HarriL in the comments.

More Prophet '08 Demos
Title link takes you there. Via HarriL
Funny side note. I wonder if it will be the Prophet '08, Prophet 08, or Prophet 8 in the end. And... with or without a dash? It's interesting to me in that how will people search for it?
Update: Looks like the link is currently down. Some more info [below] though.
Update: try this link. Not sure if it takes you to the same samples, but there you go. Thanks goes to Steven in the comments.
"The P8 has some other new features, too, such as a nice arpeggiator (with latch), a loopable third envelope (try modulating envelope stages while it's looping!), much easier modulation of oscillator mix (you can set up a four way analog vector using the wheels!), and the whole "two Programs in one"
thing, where each Program is really two Programs, and where the "Part B" can be stacked/layered, or split with Part A, or just used as an "alternate take" if you will (similar to the EX5 "Scenes", except Part B is a completely different Program). Hey, when stacked/layered, you have 4 analog osc, 2 filters, 2 amps, 6 env, 8 LFOs, 8 assignable mod source/destinations,
8 seq tracks, and 2 arps at your disposal! Analog bliss."

Jam Jelly 555 (Live)
YouTube Published on Jul 30, 2012 by HarriL
"A test (that begins around the 05:00 minute mark) with a very simple 1 Oscillator VCO I made out of a single 555 chip, output fed through ESX for some effects.
Some notes are slightly out of tune but the test was a success.
Maybe I'll add a VCF, VCA and an EG to that circuit, once I figure all those out."

DOEPFER REGELWERK MIDI FADER CONTROLLER SEQUENCER
via this auction
"This is a rare piece of gear and has been out of production for about 10 years.
The DOEPFER REGELWERK CONTROLLER is an excellent MIDI CONTROLLER for your set up or--as the Brits like to put it--“kit”. It consists of 24 independent sliders that can be manipulated as a 16 STEP SEQUENCER or a 24 Track MIDI FADER CONTROLLER—that is putting it mildly! Also, it has IN/OUT’s for CV and GATE functions as well as MIDI IN/OUT. It is rack mountable and has adjustable legs for table-top control.
Here is the original DOEPFER SITE information: http://www.doepfer.de/rw_e.htm
Here is an excellent video to give you an example of what the controller can do:"

Future Retro Revolution Synthesizer R2
"The new R2 unit, designated by the gun metal grey chassis, has an updated PC board design using a new RAM chip which extends the internal back up battery life from approximately 1.5 years on previous white faced units to now more than 10 years life span. In addition the R2 units include OS version 2.0 making it more compatible for use with our XS semi-modular synthesizer."
