"This was my 76th live performance and the best one yet!

Knobcon performance in the Big Room with a metallic and cinematic all-modular techno set, and I loved every second of it.

Big ups to Mike Cameron for the invite to play this year, to Damon / OSC1Nation and Skyler / KittySpit for being so supportive since the beginning of my modular journey, to Nick / Dub Station Zero for being my hype man, to Brandy / Space Racer for mega support, to the Noise Engineering team for getting me to this con to feature the new Xer Mixa and hang with so many great people at the booth, and to Patrick Leonard for being a constant mentor and inspiration.

"Modular synth improvised Techno jam with Intellijel 84hp Performance case with Roland TR-09 drum machine. Totally improvised, recorded in a single unedited take. This wasn't planned, I was eager to hear what this new rack configuration sounded like late one night as I'm preparing to perform at Awakenings in Amsterdam for Awesome Soundwave at ADE this October! Might get a little crunchy at times 😁

Muta Jovis demo & jam: 4-switch utility module for Eurorack synths

"The Muta Jovis from Noise Engineering is a simple 4HP utility module for modular synths, with 4 switches that connects inputs to the outputs, giving you the ability to mute 4 channels individually.

The inputs are circularly normalled so a single input can be sent (and muted) to up to four outputs. This module is designed for gates and CV.

You can also use it in passive mode, so without power it works the same, but no LEDs will illuminate.

Live Modular Synth Performance "The Canyon" by POB

"This live modular synth performance is the final patch based on the one I created for Qu-Bit Electronix's Instagram Story Takeover.

The patch features several Qu-Bit modules: Pulsar, Contour, Octone, Tone, and Nebulae.

When I took over Qu-Bit's Instagram Stories, I built a patch in 24 hours (link here to that patch BTW: https://youtu.be/x3CzYb2IZLE) but then expanded on that quite a bit more, adding in lush melodies (with the Sputnik Modular keyboard and Mangrove oscillator) and more intense percussion (with Noise Engineering's Manis Iteritas and Mutable Instruments Warps for some effects)

The two samples in this patch (violins and choir) were created in Kontakt then exported to .wav files and added to the Nebulae.

"A live modular synth performance, recorded in one take with no overdubs. Percussion is from a Mutable Instruments Plaits, switching between the kick, snare, and hihat models. Bass is from a Noise Engineering LIP through a DSI DSM01 filter. Some chords from my Fender Rhodes are loaded into a Make Noise Morphagene. An Instruo Ts-L is modulated by the PWM algorithm of an Erica Synths Pico Voice, running through an Eventide EuroDDL. Reverb is from a Strymon BigSky."
