UDO Super 6 - Virtuality Vol.1

So, Here it is, my first pack of 64 Sounds for the amazing UDO Super 6, the synth is an absolute pleasure to program, play and hear! it sounds like no other synth I own or have heard.

No other effects were used in this demo apart from the two generative patches at the end I added some reverb to let you hear it in context.

Hybrid Synths can achieve so much, with the state of the art FPGA digital hardware oscillators, the S6 sounds amazing.

George Hearn and his team have done a remarkable job with this synth, and I feel there will be many many more banks coming from me for this one.

A mixture of classics, modern, dirty, beautiful and creamy sounds in this bank, I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed making them.

I used UDO Facotry waveforms for this entire bank.

Next bank will contain some (if not all) SM custom Waveforms.

Using the Looping of Envelope 1 to add some serious grit and girth to the UDO S6 (not that it lacks any in the first place) It's a fantastic synth to program, and yields some very interesting results!

Give this one time, when it opens up it's like nothing I've heard! :) Huge!

Sitting in front of my newly acquired S6, and wow! U.D.O have nailed it with this! I am as usual, just becoming familiar with the instrument, and so far Im loving the sound of it. Undoubtably is going to be fantastic for binaural pads etc, but the envelopes are super snappy and the drive on the filter gives it some real grunt!

I just thought I'd share this patch I created this afternoon. I'm going to have fun with this one :) -

The first Instalment of many for this synth, due to it's strengths and capabilities I have decided with this one to break the banks down into categories.

In this one it features 50 Lush, Warm, Emotive, inspiring Pads.

the initial test was to see how lush I could get the hydraynth to sound, and decided to do a full bank production ready and balanced levels.

This will work on any hydrasynth, anyone with a deluxe, i'd love to hear the pads layered :)

These pads are suitable for most genres, especially, film scoring, ambient, trance and any musical woks that require some evolving motion.

Following a viewers comment yesterday regarding the hydrasynth not having any depth or richness, I set out today to see just how much depth and richness it can do.

I must admit I was of the same opinion with the lack of depth and warmth, but as always, diving under the hood and carefully adding motion and movement, the Hydrasynth can sound very very warm and very rich indeed. So I will happily stand corrected on my initial views.

I thought I would share this to let anyone who has or had the same opinion, it may make you think again.

This has no external effects, all 100% Hydrasynth.

ASM Hydrasynth - Experimental Generative Plucks

"Diving into the generative side of the Hydrasynth and loving it, this patch utilises the arp in a very slow tempo, then LFO 5 as step sequencer, generating random pitch changes to Osc 4, LFO 5 also triggers Envelope 5, which triggers the filter cutoff.

Various other LFO's and Looped Envelopes to add changes to the filter envelope decay and release times, also to randomly change the time signature of the arp (hence the deliberate drifting out of sync then drifting back in again) it's an addictive type of synthesis and one that really brings some happy/lucky finds.

Pad is OB6 through some bigsky, Piano Is Keyscape, drums are various samples put together for quick video.

I will do some tutorials on this once I have become more adapt at it :)

Just getting to know this beauty at the moment, but wow, the programming possibilities with this beast are huge!

This patch is utilising LFO's to trigger Envelopes, triggered by note values, and triggered by arp, comes to a life of its own when sustain pedal is held down.

Amazing machine! I'm gonna have fun with this one! :)

The Prophet 12 is an outstanding synth, and one which has sadly been overlooked by far too many people.

It was the first ever DSI synth I ever owned and will remain with me for a very long time. from Fat leads, to warm pads, along with Exponential and Linear FM it has great ability to create sounds like no other Prophet.

it was one of Dave Smith's Favourites if not his favourite creation, and I can totally understand why.

Duodecima Vol.1 is listed as 100 sounds, is actually far more than that. Just like the REV2, the Prophet 12 can be split or layered and this bank makes the most of those benefits! so you will be receiving in excess of 130 sounds in total, due to some patches containing two sounds in one patch.

"This will likely be the last of the sample videos for this bank, I am nearing completion of the 100 Sounds. And I am incredibly happy with how these are turning out.

This one is an old old favourite track of mine, completely chilled version, but all in one split patch.

The delays are from the P12, but I did run this through a long reverb just to give it that ambient / trance effect. I highly recommend no matter what synth or synths you have to invest in some great reverbs, they can bring your synth to life.

Prophet 12 - How Analog can it sound? - Part #3 (No Effects)

"Completely different type of analog demo this one. it's one to show the benefits of stable oscillators (DCO) versus (VCO) instability. Yes I love the instability of VCO, and would still chose them over DCO for most applications. but at times, especially for percussive or crystal like sounds, the stable DCO allows far better sound design and allows the synth to cut through. This patch has no effects, (yes it's completely dry!) it does have some light compression for mastering and that is it. From Low end to High End the P12 is just there!

I love it. snappy envelopes, it's rich, and just has a sound of it's own.

"Second Video Demonstrating how Analog the P12 can sound. exceptionally good at the dreamy moog like leads and warm pads.

This Patch 'SM Pads n Arps' - is programmed in split mode Pad on lower keys and lead / Arp on the top. Extremely expressive and one for sitting back and enjoying a jam. I used Specular Tempus reverb on this, along with the P12 modulated delays set in stereo.
