Univox K-3 Maxi-Korg Maxikorg 800DV SN 750121

via this auction

"Here is a thoroughly EXC Condition rare as hensteeth, phat and violent filtered beast. The Univox Maxi-Korg K-3.
Full service just performed by one of Detroit's premier synth gurus. All is cleaned, polished, tuned, stabilized, perfected. Bill came in just over $300 and that's with our frequent flyer discount.
As to what these do, how they sound, nature of this beast-- The overall timbre is rich and manifest heaven. The discrete oscillators sound magical, early rocks root with twists landing solid and timeless, turning magnificently around and absconding one's self, original fire and dirt-- thick but open, plenty of mid-bite. Station to station on this face-plate landscape land on future satellites such as the traveler high and lo-pass filters, duality all along, one completely independent from the other-- the stargazer in the field, the atmosphere weightless, blue. It's only pre-1979 stuff that has this wide open deeply rooted star-quadrant 50 foot plow the back-hoe thru lava disregard. Red AND blue!

ORIGINAL US 117V UNIT."

On the release:

"TRI:.OBYTE is an artist / musician experimenting within Electronic, Ambient, Classical, Avant Garde, and Noise music, preferring to not operate solely within a specific genre. TRI:.OBYTE uses an array of synthesizers (both analogue and digital / modern and vintage), odd circuit-bent instruments, and varied experimental techniques in performance and production to create textures in music which conjure a feeling or mental image within sound that is simultaneously primitive and futuristic . TRI:.OBYTE seeks to communicate intelligent emotional messages within instrumentation, sound design and composition, to manipulate and occasionally ‘break’ sound in order to create an engaging and sometimes challenging experience and environment that is rewarding to the listener.

TRI:.OBYTE insists that he explore sounds of his own imagination, and approach composition in a manner that forces him to start each project from a fresh perspective. His new album, FORGOTTEN CAMBRIAN CREATURES, is evidence of these personal artistic demands. The music builds in unexpected ways, and combines layers of sound and patterns that are unconventional. TRI:.OBYTE uses haunting and disjunct melodies, rhythmic tension, and harmonic dissonance as trademarks of his own sound. From the simplicity and vivid imagery in the opening track, “Beetle Annamite”, to the sweeping scope and immersive world within his magnum opus, “Conflicted Stargazer”, to the riveting sonic seance that summons “Tuvan Demon Sniper Scat”, and the other-worldly environments that envelop the listener in “The Butterfly Effect” and “The Shape of a Rain Drop,” the release of emotional tension orchestrated by TRI:.OBYTE on this debut can only result in the nearly apocalyptic prayer of “Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep” a song that for this artist, embodies an undercurrent of tension and an outpouring of grace in facing the turbulent times in which we live."

Some happy swing on a pile of Casio keyboards

YouTube Uploaded by organfairy on Mar 19, 2012

"I wanted to play some really happy music on the small Casio keyboard. And this melody could qualify as at least cheerfull.
"Stargazer" was a hit for Neil Diamond in the mid 1970's and I had it on an Ampex tape. Unfortunately that particular reel suffered from the sticky-tape-syndrome so I had to get rid of it. But I found the melody online and found out how to play it using the collection of Casio keyboards that I have."

A Taste of Venom Demo M-Audio Avid

YouTube via FlakeStick | January 30, 2011 | Update: video re-uploaded below.

"This is a quick-n-dirty demo showing my first patches on M-Audio's new synth, the Venom. The Venom is a sound designer's dream, it lends itself to all kinds of music. Basses, strings, sci-fi, ambient, trance, trip-hop...and on-and-on. Editing the sounds makes all sorts of happy accidents possible.

All original patches in this vid are by me:
Stringer - a vintage string synth sound w/ phaser, much better than the "70's String" factory patch I must say.
JunoThis - A first, not-quite-there, attempt at Juno sounds w/ chorusing. Again better than the factory patch.
Wobbler - This is a recreation of a patch I did on the Oberheim Matrix. Sounds great on the Venom!
NebulaTrek - Inspired by the ominous sound from the first Star Trek motion picture.
StarGazer - Something completely new to me!
DeepBass - A deep house bass sound.
Eurotrashd - A sensational driving trance sound, whether triggered in one-hits or arpeggiated.

Recorded straight into Macbook w/ no additional effects - ALL VENOM."
