One Got EMS Synthi VCS3

"You should be watching me turning the dials and patching the pins on the EMS Synthi VCS3, but my video camera corrupted the file. So instead you get to hear the VCS3 provide a new soundtrack for the strange 60's cycling safety film 'One Got Fat'. I didn't 'write to picture' so its no work of art! But I do think the VCS3 offers a suitably weird soundtrack to this already odd film."

"Using Ableton Live arpeggiator to trigger the Macbeth's envelopes with all kind of pitch modulation coming from the LFO's and random source. Towards the end I route the oscillators through Filter one which for me is the best filter. It is much more dirty than the transistor ladder filter 2.

"Just got this synth (on loan) yesterday and I've spent the day exploring its functions. So far I'm loving the built in spring reverb (watch/listen to what happens when I shake it!) and the voltage controlled panning. Here is a very short clip of some spooky halloween sounds. Looking forward to using this in some tracks and for some FX in the upcoming Simonsound podcast mix.

"Just got this today and this is my first play with it. I've wanted one for years and was lucky enough to do a swap. I am using it with a Psycho LFO, Doepfer 149-1 and Minimoog Voyager. The sound is both Voyager and Wogglebug internal VCO and I have it going through a Boss RE-20 Space Echo."
