Here's a short description from Carol about her artwork for this show:

I have always been driven to create. I have drawn, painted and played music since I was a child, starting to play in bands at age 15. I started getting serious about visual art when I studied photography at the Glassel School in 2003. I have been drawing a world that existed in my mind for years; this world is inhabited by wormclops and sandhands. During Hurricane Harvey I did my first painting that started this collection. It was a bit different then the way they look now. The wormclops are trying to navigate their world and get safely home and not get caught in a spoiler cloud. They are sweet little generous worms just trying to get by while the sandhands spin through the air. The spoiler clouds are always creeping up behind trying to rain on their day but they stay one link ahead. I love to create my own little worlds in both paint and ceramics. And I am really grateful to the Orange Show Foundation for letting me share these worlds with you by displaying my art in this special place.

the interview was conducted by Ayn Morgan who tragically passed in an accident in 2015. Ayn was the host of the experimental music radio show The Chestnut Tree on Rice University's KTRU and then eventually moved to KPFT.

"Another threshold of noiz crossed...500 improvisational noiz sessions. A soundtrack for the denizens of the darkest times of the night. For this session I wanted to show how one of these noiz and video occurrences comes about. Starting with a blank slate on some machines and a bit of environments on others like the norns. The choice of machines and pedals is always evolving so it usually starts as a random convergence of happy accidents. Finally, after all of the noiz is designed...the video aspect is created. In this case the three camera views become the source. Hopefully the viewer can get an idea of how this all evolves. These sessions will continue...possibly not as frequently...but I never know.
