Circuit Bent Speak and Spell

via this auction. Note this is the one from this video and this video.
"Circuit Bent Speak & Spell w/MIDI by Radial77

This is a vintage Texas Instruments Speak and Spell modified by yours truly for the purpose of musical creativity and sonic exploration.

Features and functions:

- MIDI Enabled: This allows it to be triggered from a sequencer, drum machine, DAW, keyboard, or anything capable of sending MIDI signals.
- Glitch matrix composed of two glitch sets (three toggles on right and left edges). The switches can be used alone or combined with other switches and features for unique sounds ranging from unique glitch sounds from different keys on the keypad to randomizing/incantor sounds.
- Pitch Knob with activation toggle (bottom left front and side), which moves the pitch both up and down.
- Loop button (top right front) with loop hold switch (top right edge), which loops the current tone for as long as you wish.
- 1/4 inch mono output jack for routing to external mixer, DAW, etc. Mono, which means you may only hear sound on left side while using headphones or stereo signal setup.
- Green LED, which is triggered as each sound is played.
- The unit functions normally as designed when mods are not in use.
- The factory speaker works as designed. Good for when you don't want the hassle of cables.
- The factory 3.5mm headphone jack works as designed for use with standard headphones.
- The original battery cover was not included when I acquired this unit, but tape works fine if you can't think a better solution.
- Powered by 4 C-type batteries (not included). Feel free to try your own power supply, but only AT YOUR OWN RISK. Since the unit is circuit bent, seller is not liable for any electrical mishap when using alternative power sources :)"

"(limited to 20 worldwide!!!)

This was purchased direct from Germany in late 2008...

The SCHRITTMACHER has 32 parameter lines which can be freely configured and linked with each other. Each line has 16 steps which can be edited using the 16 rotary encoders with integrated pushbuttons. Additional 28 pushbuttons allow the user easy processing of the sequences. The 240x128 pixel backlit display ensures that the user always has an overview over the current status of the sequences. By direct access to a number of parameters ideas can quickly and intuitively be translated into action at the studio as well as on stage.

The possible connection of a master keyboard for controlling purposes (transposing, use of controllers) allows additional processing of the sequences and grooves.
