Sequential Circuits (SCI) Pro-One

via this auction

"Good array of sockets too, control the filter cutoff with an external control voltage, pass audio signals through it's filter etc."

Clavia Nord Rack 3

Note the "Not in Use" jack in the bottom shot. Anyone have more info on this?

Update via AL in the comments: it should be the control panel jack. See bottom image below.

Sequential Circuits TOM drum machine

via this auction

Update via brian comnes in the comments: "this thing had no power supply - good luck finding one they are 15V center tapped - yep thats 7.5-0-7.5 volts on three pins and a rare 5PIN DIN arrangment ....I had to build one from scratch using a 9-0-9 tranny and so far it hasn't fried - Wine Country (bless their heart) occasionally gets them...but don't hold your breath"

Oberheim OB-Xa

via this auction
"This is a classic RARE OB-Xa by Oberheim fitted with MIDI (in,out, thru) . It was an extremely expensive ($6000) polysynth monster of the early eighties. The definitive sound of true pure analog- wide, warm and big for orchestral textures, funky early 80's grandmaster flash & Van Halen "JUMP" type sounds. Sound of obxa is simply impressive. One huge feature of the obxa is the easy to use split function which adds so many more sonic possibilities."

The World's Funkiest Prophet-600

via this auction
auction details:
"This is one of those "must have" synthesizers for those of you who play out often! This is my highly modified "Psychedelic pop art" Sequential Prophet 600, the earliest synthesizer with MIDI. All of the black paint has been removed to reveal the bare metal surface. This includes any factory markings of control knobs, etc. (You can easily make a control template and lay it over the controls in order to identify them). The membrane touch pad has also been painted over to obscure the numerals. Finally, the keys have been painted with day-glo paints. When put under a black light onstage this synth is amazing. The synth is in good working order, all controls work, and it is loaded with a set of my bizarre patches created with an editor program (Midi Quest) It has also had the oscillators detuned to give it an earth-shattering bottom-end. The oscillators can easily be returned to normal with a simple adjustment."

UNIQUE DBE Synthesizer Control Rackmount CRUMAR BIT 01

via this auction

"According to our research, this Made In Italy piece was named the Crumar Bit 1 overseas."

Update via this post:
"The Unique DBE was an American released version of Crumar's revered Bit 01 rack. Everything is exactly the same. 6 voice polyphonic analog synthesizer, stereo outs. So warm and such crazy, crisp fast envelopes. It is way warmer and phatter, and easier to program then let's say a Matrix 6. Lots of MIDI treats can affect many parameters with velocity and aftertouch like LFO, Pulse wave modulations and of course envelopes. Anything you see on the little matrix that has an extra frame around it is velocity sensitive. S/N is 0017. There can't be more than a few hundred of these. Much more rare than the Bit 01. These were available like for a few months back in the 80s."

Update via Urge in the comments: "Actual serial # is 00179"

John McLaughlin (born 4 January, 1942 in Doncaster), also known as Mahavishnu John McLaughlin, is an English jazz fusion guitarist and composer. He played with Tony Williams's group Lifetime and then with Miles Davis on his landmark electric jazz-fusion albums In A Silent Way and Bitches Brew. His 1970s electric band, The Mahavishnu Orchestra, performed a technically virtuosic and complex style of music that fused eclectic jazz and rock with eastern and Indian influences. His guitar playing includes a range of styles and genres, including jazz, Indian classical music, fusion, and Western Classical music, and has influenced many other guitarists. He has also incorporated Flamenco music in some of his acoustic recordings. The Indian Tabla maestro Zakir Hussain refers to John McLaughlin as being "one of the greatest and most important musicians of our times".
