Synth Scans from 1983

via It's Full of Stars

Pictured: Synth Babe with Roland MC-202 on the beach (imagine seeing that):

"Finally here's a picture of a very English beach-babe playing a Roland MC202, quite a common sight in the early eighties"

Other scans include:
Keith Emerson with interview and audio (image below - looks like he was pushing KORG at the time)

Retribution Body - Live Modular Show

"Retribution Body will be performing live at the Mobius Gallery (725 Harrison Ave., in Boston's Back Bay) on February 10th. Also featured on the bill will be Ghost Grass, Max Lord's beautiful textural sound project. I still don't know what the plan is for the evening's format or set times or much else, but I do know that the show is at 8pm and the cost is $10 / $5 Students and Friends of Mobius.

This gig will be the premier of my new Eurorack modular, I expect it's first night out to be a really great show. Max will most likely be performing on his Buchla, providing fertile ground for the endless "Banana Jack vs. 1/8" Patch Cord Debate".

If you're curious, you can hear what Max does here

And you can also see hear my recent performance on WZBC here

Peace to you all, and I hope to see you at the Mobius on the 10th."

I hope you like it."

Admin: Polls and a New World In Synthesis

I added a POLLS link to the top right, link section next to the NAMM link. Click on it to get to all posts with the POLLS label. You know how much I post, so I thought it would be a useful link to get to posts with polls that typically have more active discussion. With that, don't forget to vote your opinion in the three "New World of Synthesis" polls. I made some updates in the post, so if you caught it when it first went up, you might want to check it out again. Also be sure to check out the Mopho Keyboard color poll right under it to see which is winning, and cast your vote if you haven't already.
