Anyware Tinysizer Demos

via monokit on electro-music.com:
"It has 2 VCOs, 3 LFOs (slow, fast, audio), 2 EGs (normal, fast), 4 VCAs, a great SEM based filter (LP, BP, HP), and audio input stage (preamp, env follower and gate trigger), a digital FX unit (delay, reverb, mixable), wave processor, mixer, ring, S&H, noise (white, pink), built in MIDI->CV, 10 external in/outs, and a ton (300+) of patch points. Check out the block diagram here. [below to save the hit on Anyware Instruments and for the archives.]

Patching this synth is totally different from patching my MOTM with its big fat quarter inch cables. On the Tiny everything is under your eyes, no arm stretching. It a bit like patching a VCS3 matrix with tiny cables. No normalled routes, you have to wire the whole thing yourself. It's lots of fun. On the MOTM everything is more physical."

"Anyware Tinysizer filter and overdrive demo.
Two OSCs driving the LPF. A slow LFO is opening the LPF cutoff.
Over time the filter inputs are opened from 5 to 10, and filter RES is opened from 0 to 10.
Some internal delay used.
No external FX, straight into AD."

"Cheesy drum loop from QY700 into Anyware Tinysizer using built in preamp and envelope follower. Input volume cranked up. :)"

"And finally a demo of the filter at breaking point, modulated by two slow LFOs (tri and square)... I really like the filter, which can be sweet, but I like it most for its raw power. A single VCO source will start to overdrive the input around 7 or so on the pot. The lowpass sound is nice and fat, and the bottom end stays when turning up the reso."

Beep-It, Seeq-It, and "Speaking in Code"

Beep it Deluxe from Michael Una on Vimeo.

"Beep-it is an optical theremin. It outputs a square wave whose pitch is controlled by the amount of light striking a photoresistor. You control the pitch by casting shadows over the light sensor, or by pointing it towards/away from a light source. The Deluxe version comes in a fancy bamboo case with more knobs and functionality. $35-$65" on fractalspin

Seeq-it from Michael Una on Vimeo.

"Seeq-it is a square wave synthesizer with a built-in stepped sequencer. There are 8 steps to the sequence, and each step can be set to a different pitch or turned off. LEDs on the front panel indicate the position and speed of the sequence as it moves in a circle. A 2nd low-frequency oscillator can be used to modulate the output pitch, resulting in additional tones and rhythms. A built-in resonant lowpass filter allows for fat frequency sweeps and tone control. Seeq-it's sound is reminiscent of both 8-bit video games and classic techno sequencers. The pitch output ranges from very high to very low, earth-shaking bass frequencies. $195" on fractalspin

Speaking in Code Trailer from sQuare productions on Vimeo.

"URB Magazine calls Speaking in Code "One of the most need-to-watch music docs in recent memory." It's an intimate account of people who are completely lost in music. A heartbreaking and lighthearted documentary, it's a vérité glimpse into the world of techno. Captivating and entertaining, the film takes you around the world, following the people who make electronic music ... their lives. $19.95" on fractalspin
