Sycologic Patch Memory Expansion board for Yamaha DX7

via this auction

"Basically, it gives you 4 banks instead of 1, so that's 64 patches.

It was pulled from a working DX-7, which was about to have a Grey Matter E! board installed."

Modded Yamaha CS70m with Schematics and Manuals

via this auction

"there were mods done to her:
1. Keycode Input (SK30 or SK50D connector) on the back was removed - done by org. owner
2. PGM lock (program write lock/unlock switch) was replaced w/ additional L/R outputs - never tested 'em but if i remember correctly these outputs bypass VCA or VCF of the synth. (sorry may be wrong here) - done by org. owner
3. MIDI interface by Kenton was added by a Pro from "A Sound Education", a shop here in Chicagoland.

they also turned her inside out to check for any problems: "Feet I" slider was cleaned and re-soldered, program switches 11 & 14 in row 1 were replaced. midi was implemented and tested. no other issues were found."

YAMAHA SY-2 Synthesizer

via this auction

"YAMAHA SY-2 was the company's second venture into the blossoming synth market (no prizes what the first one was, then....). Its major claim to fame was the movie useage in "Close Encounters of the Third Kind", when played by Francois Trufflemanger (or whatever his name was...) whilst waiting for the aliens to come out to play and give back the fighter planes etc they nicked (thieving gits...). He wasn't a great player.at all..only five notes in his portfolio. Its surprising that a Japanese synth was used at all. This was the era of synths when Moog & Sequential & ARP were champions of the the terrestial world....hey, thats the crazy world we and the aliens live in...........doo dee doo de doooooo"
