Q-960 Sequence

Q-960 Sequence from Markk W. Roberts on Vimeo.

"When I had the Synthesizers.com in vertical arrangement, and after a few bottles of wine, I created this little happy sequence and used the TC Electronics multi-tap delay for the "bouncing" delay effect... layered a few JD-800 strings on top of it... modular key change was being handled by the Korg Karma through an Encore Electronics Expressionist."

"Damn! Look what I found on the floor! This the 8 modules MacBeth Mk1 Modular (Barabas1) that I took to the NAMM show at Anaheim California '11!
The case got battered a bit- was maybe thrown around- but the modules are fine! Here it is with two Mk1 Oscs providing a drone- and a Mk1 Oscilltor 'B' triggering 2 Mk1 Dual Envelope Generators..."

"Hej Casanova" - with Roland SH-2000

YouTube via organfairy | January 26, 2011 |

"'Hey Casanova
close down your business
go somewhere else
and stop stealing my girlfriends'

This is basically what this song is about. It was a moderate hit for the Danish dance band Klaus & Servants in 1978.

After making several videos with multitrack or MIDI music I thought it was about time to just sit down and play with nothing more than what I can do in real-time. The music is recorded directly from the organ and the only trick I have used is to stop playing when I moved the camera for a close-up of the synthesizer and back again. These breaks were edited out later.

I play the Technics SX-C600 organ and on top of it a Roland SH-2000 synthesizer. This was actually the way it was designed to be played: On top of an organ as an external third keyboard - or solo manual."

Synare Lo Tom Analog Synth Drum

via this auction
"vintage Synare Lo Tom drum synth made by Star Instruments in the early 80s in as-is condition.

The Synare Lo Tom produces a low-pitched drum synth sound that can be tuned and decay time can be adjusted. There are Range, Speed, and Direction controls included within the “Run” section of the controls that don’t appear to do anything and cannot verify that they are working as intended. There are additional ¼” jacks in addition to the ¼” output that may be for a footswitch on/off for the “Run” section, but am uncertain and therefore selling the drum synth as-is.

Features of the Synare Lo Tom include:
· Trigger Pad
· Tune
· Range
· Speed
· Direction
· Decay
· Sensitivity (Trigger)
· Volume
· Power Adapter Input (included)
· ¼” Output"

Oberheim OB-Mx – Rare Analog Don Buchla-Designed Synth

via this auction
"The OB-Mx is a modern synthesizer with an entirely analog audio path. It has an intuitive interface making it easy to program some unique sounds. You can get some great classic Oberheim and Minimoog sounds out of this thing, and it is completely programmable and MIDI compatible. This is one of the only real analog synths with modern features. It has one 2-voice card that contains two oscillators, four multistage envelopes, three LFOs and filters. You can upgrade the unit and add up to 5 more cards to get even more polyphony. This is the standard factory-issued 2-voice unit."
