KOMA Elektronik - Development Video #4 - KOMA BD101

YouTube Uploaded by KOMAelektronik on May 2, 2011

"Christian from KOMA Elektronik demonstrates some of the features of the KOMA BD101 Analog Gate & Delay prototype. In stores from September 2011!

KOMA BD101: Mangle and cut your sound apart with an innovative vactrol controlled analog delay circuit in combination with a fully adjustable wide range frequency gate. It sounds like you're playing your instrument on the porch outside of your house and inside your amp is slowly sinking in the toilet, CV controlled of course. This might sound strange, but that's just what this pedal is about: create weird resonant frequencies, shift between heavy delayed sounds and super short pulses, with whatever instrument you want to plug into it. The BD101 comes standard with a solid foot switch, multiple inputs, an audio and control voltage patch bay with passive attenuators on the back and our new innovative expression controller."

"Gianluca Ruggeri is my neighbor, turned collaborator and a proud Buchla 200e owner.

We have been playing for some time now and are preparing for our first performance in June 2011 in Geneva.
More Info about this performance at : atptt.ch/Rastko-Lazic-Gianluca-Ruggeri

Gianluca came by my place with his Buchla and this video shows some of the noises we made.

This is not the best performance we had in the short time we have played together but testifies, and I hope shows, to a beautiful Saturday we have spent at my place with nice weather, tons of friends, children and these great instruments we are so lucky to have.

Elements of Chip Music

YouTube Uploaded by lftkryo on May 2, 2011

"This is my chip music seminar from Revision 2011.

Abstract:
When working with a soundchip such as the SID or the 2A03, the artist faces a number of technical constraints that limit, guide and inspire the creative process. The seminar will highlight and briefly explain some of these constraints, with particular emphasis on how they influenced artists during the golden age of chip music to give rise to some of the clichés that now define the genre. We will also see (and hear) how variations of the same constraints have emerged in other genres and ages, and how composers such as Bach have tackled them in similar or different ways.
