"SYNAPSE - THE ELECTRONIC MUSIC MAGAZINE - dated MARCH/APRIL 1977 featuring interviews with Roger Powell and Todd Rundgren and Steve Hillage of Gong and a feature article on "Synthesizers On The Eco-Front". Also many other interesting synthesizer-related articles and cool advertisements showcasing what are still the best synthesizers ever made. Synapse was the first and best synthesizer magazine. As it catered to a then very small audience, it was probably doomed from the start. They produced perhaps a dozen different issues over a three year period before their demise and is still considered a great publication by those musicians and analog synthesizer enthusiasts that are hip enough to be aware of its' existence. Each issue was produced in a very small press run and alas, very few remain so GRAB THIS NOW WHILE YOU CAN WITH THE "BUY IT NOW" OPTION.

This ultra rare issue features on its cover a photo of Utopia keyboardist ROGER POWELL and guitarist/vocalist TODD RUNDGREN. Of historical value, this issue is addressed to Peter Bergren and Sound Arts, the old Beaver and Krause recording studio in Los Angeles. Sound Arts used to be Synthesizer Heaven in the 1970's and I used to hang out at Sound Arts in the mid-seventies and this was an extra copy that Peter Bergren personally gave me in 1977. Sound editor Peter Bergren has won 2 Primetime Emmys and has thirteen other Emmy Nominations. The magazine has some minor wear and wrinkling and there is a tiny piece cut out of one of the ads. (See pictures.) Pages are bright. (The first three pictures are yellowish due to the absence of camera flash.) It has been stored for three decades in an archival plastic bag in a smoke-free environment."

"Ultra rare. Absolutely impossible to find. Probably the only one ever offered on eBay in its fifteen year existence. In fantastic shape considering it is 35 years old. I've owned about a dozen Moog Synthesizers over the past forty years and received this directly from Bob Moog himself thirty-five years ago and it has been stored in a filing cabinet in a smoke-free environment for decades. Shows a little wear and a fingerprint or two from minimal handling and has two extremely minor wrinkles along the bottom (see pictures) but the pages are all very clean. No fading. No stains."

ADtech AVC-350 Korean Made Roland SVC-350 Vocoder Clone

"Pretty rare adtech vocoder....these were made under license by Roland in Korea but something went wrong with distribution and they never appeared anywhere else. Direct Roland copy...even down to the chipset and layout. Works perfectly and sounds fantastic. Runs on 110 volt but i've had it in my smoke free studio on 117 for years with no problems. Some rack rash on tabs but all else is there."

"Akai ASQ10 sequencer is very good condition. Has recently had a new back light, and OS 2.13 eproms fitted. Comes with English manual, service notes and power lead. This is the sequening section of the Akai MPC60. Features disk drive, 4 parallel midi out ports, 2 midi in ports, sync in and out. Electro-Music Klee Analog Sequencer

Modifications:

Custom LED Colors: This Klee been modified with Bi-Color LEDs so Stage LEDs 9-6 are green when the sequencer is in 2X8 mode. Blue LEDs on Random and Bus 2 Status. Yellow LEDs on Rate and Bus 1 Status. Green LED on Bus 3 Status. Red LED on Main Bus Status.
Logical CV Output Routing: Stage 1-8 CV Output on Output A (stock assembly routes it to Output B). Stage 9-16 CV Output on Output B (stock assembly routes it to Output A).

For those that don't know, the Klee is the most feature packed, crazy, beautifully insane sequencer out there. Every option is implemented in this layout. The Klee, pronounced Clay, is a shift register based sequencer. What makes the Klee different from most sequencers is that more than one Stage/Step can be active at any given time. Most sequencers have one active Stage, the CV for that Stage is programmed via the pot, and the CV is then sent to the CV Out. With the Klee, one or more stages can be active at one time, the CV programmed by the active Stages is added together, and is then sent to the CV Out. This function just
