The Appendage:An analogue voltage controller for synthesizers.

video upload by Todd Murray

"This is a DIY project that was originally designed by Scott Stiles on the Electro-Music Forum. Being a DIY project means you can augment, customize and kick things up a bit. I wanted a new controller that was thin and light enough that I could bounce around on stage and give a light show, while playing.

The current light controller is activated by a 5 Volt gate signal to an Atmel microcontroller. The next revision will incorporate both Gate and CV which will not only activate the lights, but change colour depending on frequency.

You can use this simultaneously with patchable Eurorack and large format +/-15V modulars or polyphonic MIDI controlled synths using the CV to MIDI converter."

Appendage Ribbon Controller with Pressure Controller

Published on Oct 4, 2018 startwav

"Quick test of the Appendage Ribbon Controller by Scott Stites. This is an old board but he seems to making them again.

Added a DIY pressure controller that uses a long FSR beneath the softpot ribbon to control volume. Controller has a built in LFO for tremolo effects. Speed and volume are controlled by the pressure (if desired). Makes for a very expressive controller together. Just need some panels and an enclosure!"

Klee Sequencer, Dim C and Eric Stites Photographs

Published on Sep 6, 2018 Scott Stites

"I recently had to replace my hard drive. I used an image from a couple of years ago, found this piece, and decided to make a video using my brother's photography. It's my Roland SH-201 running through my Dim C modulated by my Klee Sequencer, with some other bits of my home-made modular providing percussive effecs. If anyone is interested in the photography, it can be found here: https://lacewingphotography.shootproo..."

Krazy Klee

Published on Aug 4, 2018 Scott Stites

"I ran across this video while going through an old computer. It's from May 2009, and shows my KS-01 in its early prime. It shows off the Triple Wilson SVVCF module, and, of course the Klee. I suppose I never uploaded it because it pretty much has one set sequence. Enjoy. Or not."

Klee and Appendage Wankenstein

Published on Aug 4, 2018 Scott Stites

"I ran across the video for this, but it still had the mic audio. I found the wav file recorded on my Korg D8 and synced it up for better audio, but the video reeeealllly suffered (my original video SW has gone away). Anyway, I kind of like this piece, so I thought I would post it. Klee and Appendage and my home brew modular all going at it..."

Klee Didge

Published on Jun 26, 2017 Robin Rimbaud-Scanner

"A little experiment in the studio with the Klee sequencer but using it only to send gate CVs, with no traditional melodic content. The sounds come from the Harvestman Hertz Donut, Endorphin es Furthrrr Generator and Intellijel Dixie II, whilst some additional percussion follows from ALM/Busy Circuits Dinky’s Taiko ever changing from Qu-Bit Electronix Chance."

Dicking around with Braids, Rings, and other DIY crap

Published on Jun 9, 2016 Sean Pendleton

"Love Rings and Braids, need to build more of both. I can't wait to build Clouds and Elements. Klee is controlling the Rings, Turing machine on the Braids. Drums are a Corny Rhythm controlling a Barton Analog Drum, Decaying noise, and Synthrotek DSM. Radio Music and Wogglebug are making noise in the background. Kept things simple."
