Sequential Circuits Owned Prophet T8 SN 000008 Property Tag 1935

via the listing: "This is a time capsule piece. This particular T-8 was not sold through a store. THIS T-8 was owned by 'Sequential Circuits' personally (see the foto of the property tag). This particular unit (serial number 8) has a pre-production Main board that was modified to release specs by Sequential (see photo). All mods and updates were performed by Dave Smith and crew.

According to an ex-engineer from SC, this T-8 has all of the latest firmware revs. It has been fully tested and is fully functional. The aftertouch on a couple of the keys is a bit touchy, but that's to be expected after more than 30 years!

I bought this unit directly from SCI when they were bought out by Yamaha. I never used it on gigs. I only used it (mostly) as a controller in my smoke-free studio. As you know, this keyboard plays amazing and was adopted by none other than the New England Digital/Synclavier people for all of their keyboards.

I have never had any issues with this keyboard, It plays super great. Included are about 25 extra hammer mechanisms, as aparently some of the heavier players would break a key now and then; but I never did."

Videos below.

"Included are:

-Gameboy DMG-01 - Has the best sound out of all the gameboy's (you can also use the included midi interface and flash cart with other models as well)

- Custom built arduinoboy midi interface built into DMG-07 four player link adapter (plugs straight into the standard ext. connector on any standard gameboy) - This allows you to plug a midi keyboard or sequencer directly into the gameboy so you can play it like a multi-timbre, multi-channel, multi-voice synth

-64MB GB-USB smart card (preloaded with the MGB software which turns the gameboy into a full midi capable musical synthesizer) - can also be flashed with other homebrew gameboy apps

Eurorack Modular Dubstep 1

YouTube Published on May 20, 2012 by DJjondent

"This is a follow up on my previous attempts to reverse engineer Skrillex's
growling wobble bass using Abelton and various VST synths.
http://youtu.be/NIpgDKptgeM
http://youtu.be/TdPR8tr25l0

The time has come to do dubstep with a modular synth.(first attempt ;-) )
The basic principle is the same: using LFOs to modulate oscillators & filters.

I'll do this with a wavetable oscillator (The GammaWave by WMD).
WaveTables are very different to your standard VCO.
(In the Abelton video we used PPG and Massive VSTs).

A wavetable is a collection of waveforms each with its own unique sound.
The standard analog VCO has a handful ..maybe 4 waves (sine, square, ramp, saw etc etc) to choose from.
The WMD Gama wave in contrast has 2 Oscillators each with at least 256 waveforms.
The thing I really love about this module is how we can make the oscillator step through the waveforms. Thus the sound evolves/changes. This is all done using control voltages.
This evolving waveform is what I think gives that growling demonic quality that's so important in dubstep.
Using a LFO I can make the oscillator progress through all 256 waveforms in one cycle if I wish.

Just to thicken the sound a bit we could add an analog oscillator (saw wave?)
To be different here I've tried a ring modulator to give a metallic flavour
In the kyoto video #2 I used a vocoder and a different filter.
A bitcrusher would probably be useful here too.
(The WMD Gamma Wave actually has one - I'll use it in the next video)
I'll try this again later with different modules.

There is more than one way to skin a cat.

Anyway, the modules used were:
Modcan Touch sequencer
WMD Gamma wave
Submix7
Doepfer A138 mixer
Pittsburgh VILFO
Doepfer A145 (LFO)
Doepfer A120 (VCF Low Pass filter)
Doepfer A114 (Ring Mod)
WMD Buffered Multiple

Thanks to Matt from RhythmActive for the WMD & Pittsburgh modules,
the Modcan sequencer and the submix7.

FONOELETTRA LCV.mov - Light to CV Converter for 5U Modular

YouTube Published on May 20, 2012 by AudioCentralMagazine

"A short test on FONOELETTRA Light To CV Converter prototype: a 5U format converter who emits two voltages based on difference in light and shadow on the internal sensor. A great module for unconventional control of modular synthesizer. Hats off to Alessandro Buggio and Andrea Gobbi from FONOELETTRA"
