"The 'Creature' is about half the size of a traditional Serge panel.
I think it's kind of like STS's version of a "voice" .
All the traditional modules that we understand to make up a voice (like the VCO, LFO, VCA and EG) are here.... but they aren't obvious... not like in a East Coast Synth.
The Creature is a single 200mm x 180mm panel with four Serge function blocks (from left-right):
1.Cross-fader (voltage controller mixer/amp)
2.Variable Q Voltage-Controlled Filter (VCF - it can be BP,HP,LP & notch)
I'm using the band pass filter in this example.
3.Voltage-Controlled TimeGen Oscillator(Im using it here as a VCO... seems to have 2 outputs, 2 LFOs... gate jacks)
.... seems to be split into left & right halves
4.The Smooth/Stepped Generator
The controls are very very very sensitive.
And very densely packed... there so much in such a small space.
Slight changes to a voltage level or dial position will change the sound drastically.
All sounds from the Serge."
