"Issue with this unit is that some of the keys seem to skip its sound at times and not reacting too well. They are 3C#, 4C, and 5C#, which I guess could do with some simple adjusting/servicing. Otherwise everything else appears to be working fine, all sliders and knobs working well to the best of my knowledge. Tone editing and writing sequencer is fine too."

"The unit seems to be fully functional, all the keys, knobs, and patches worked fine when I did a test accordingly to the owner's manual. No noticeable noise on the knobs too."

"The unit appears to be working fine, all the buttons, keys and sliders worked fine to the best of my knowledge.

One thing I noticed is that the sound may sometimes be unstable, or should I say, the sound shakes a bit when you keep pressing a note for few seconds. All six voice chips seems to be working fine, but I'm not a technician and I'm not sure what is causing this. Probably could do with some adjusting/servicing done, as there are also some sliders and knobs that has a bit of scratch noise."

"A-88: The Portable Controller That Plays Like a Grand
With 88 pro-quality weighted keys, the A-88 sets a new standard for streamlined, portable MIDI controllers. For players looking for great weighted-keyboard action in a portable package, the A-88 is the best MIDI controller available.

A-49: Portable Control with Pro Action

Available in pearl white and black finishes, the A-49 is a dream for musicians seeking a simple, easy-to-use MIDI keyboard with pro-quality playing feel."

"I have added an external click input so it can run together with my TR-606 at the flick of a button. I can then set the step length via the tempo knob which causes it to sort of quantize itself into different time signatures."

Jimmy Edgar Studio Visit

YouTube Published on Aug 6, 2012 by KOMA Elektronik

"On a nice summer day the KOMA Elektronik team visited endorsed artist Jimmy Edgar at his studio in the Friedrichshain district of Berlin to talk synths, effects, and analog production techniques! See Jimmy patch his monster Eurorack synthesizer and rock the Kommander!

Jimmy Edgar is an established player in the Detroit and Berlin techno scene. He is not only a great music producer (releases on Warp Records, !K7, Poker Flat, etc.) and an awarded fashion photographer, he is also a modular synthesizer fanatic. His obsession for analogue electronics made him and us come together. Check out his new record Majenta and you know why we dig his stuff!
