analog craftsman/4MS SCM/RCD first look

Published on Aug 14, 2013 boothnavy·32 videos

"This is the first completed, limited edition, 5U/MU build of the 4MS SCM/RCD. Some features of this module are:

-Tap tempo button which controls the tempo of both sides without the need for an external clock. Each side can also be clocked together or separately from external sources.

-Reset button on the RCD.

-Variable control of skip and pulse width of SCM.

-Pull switches on the pots for controlling spread and counting (up beat or down beat) of the RCD.

This short video shows both sides being clocked by an external source and then the tap tempo button. Adjustment of the pulse width and the skip setting for the SCM.

Sources are Modcan 01B VCO and 07B pink noise into 21B dual VCA. The SCM/RCD is doing all the gating."

Malekko Mega Chimes

"Some retro-electronic sounds via my mostly Malekko modular system.

The Megawave is acting like a voltage controlled quantizer for this patch. BTW - the Megawave is really turning out to be my "go-to" module.....its really capable of MANY duties in a modular system.

Malekko VCO's sounds sooooo good when frequency modulated.

Only filter used was the right side of a Dual Borg set to resonant VCF mode.

Thanks for listening! - Adam"

"This is just a quick demonstration of the kind of sounds the ZDSP generates by it self.
No sound sources are patched to the audio inputs of the module. I just patched two envelators to the feedback inputs to get some reverb bubbles and screeches. please excuse the quality of the audio I just used the cameras internal mic for this quick demo for my friends at muffwiggler.com"

"this was my first attempt at doing anything like this 100% with my modular, and it definitely won't be the last"

via Caleb Condit on Facebook

"3xdotcom osc, stg voltage sequencers, post lawsuit filter for kick, an ssl seguencer for panning all the faster modulations, alot is being controlled with a moog cp251 with attenuation/mixing. I got a lot of the different rhythms using voltage controlled switching, LFO resets and creative CV mixing/offset. Just proves that the "boring" stuff in modulars is what makes exciting music."
