"The Roland MKS-7 is an underrated machine. It is essentially a multi-timbral rackmount Juno 106 plus the sounds from the TR-707 drum machine. It's much more than that though: all 4 parts (melody, bass, chord, rhythm) are available at once on separate audio/MIDI channels, making the MKS-7 capable of full musical compositions.
The MKS-7 Super Quartet is a multitimbral synth module with dedicated sections. The Melody section: 2 voice polyphony, 100 presets; Chord section: 4 voice polyphony, 100 presets; Bass section: monophonic, 20 presets; Rhythm section: 11 PCM sounds. The sound and architecture of the Melody, Chord and Bass sections are the same as the Juno 106synthesizer. The Rhythm section offers up the drum sounds borrowed from the TR-707.
The beauty of using this sound module is that all 4 sections are available at once. Drums, bass, leads and pads can all play independent parts and patches together making this a very nice all-in one vintage Roland tone module. Just like the Juno 106, the MKS-7 is also controllable via MIDI and System Exclusive messages for editing. Most Juno 106 editors will work for the MKS-7 too."

"The PE2000 was created in 1976 as I recall and has the one of the most definitive phaser effects of the era I think working with preset sounds through EQ and A-R envelope. And three oscillator divide down with all it's analog glory. :-) This one has been reconditioned to perfect shape and I play it in 'a few of my favorite strings' video on the sounddoctorin youtube channel [see this post] for a sound demo. As you can see the cosmetics of the keyboard is marvelous. The case has it's wear and tear but nothing too bad. Probably could get some of the same type material and use a good adhesive to hold it in the little missing strip you see there. But I figured it's just part of the vibe on this one and at least the parts that matter usually are awesome. ALSO note that only the middle latch works. The outer ones could be replaced by common latches if someone thought that important for more secure xport but didn't seem a priority to me. I have too many string machines and need to bail out some of the expenses from repairing vehicles including an old '73 wagoneer we're using for prospecting that was sold to me 'ready to drive' with a cam that had flat lobes. lol. Doing some gold prospecting this summer. What fun! Hopefully on the trail of something good here but haven't been showing my face around youtube or ebay as much as a result. WATCH FOR MORE AUCTIONS though including some classic combo organs and synths! And sub my youtube channel as hopefully I'll have a lot more synth repair vids etc. up there soon along with our prospecting exploits :-).."
