The stars of this musical movement reveal to us how to reuse old videogames hardware like Nintendo’s GameBoy, NES, Atari ST, Amiga and the Commodore 64 to turn them into a tool capable of creating a new sound, a modern tempo and an innovative musical style. This is a new way of interpreting music performed by a great many artists who show their skills in turning these “limited” machines designed for leisure in the 80’s into surprising musical instruments and graphical tools. "Took a break from work for a little Buchla doodling. The main lead sound is the 261e being FM'd by the mod osc. The location on the 222e controls the fm index. As I slide my finger up, it decreases the index and bends the pitch up. Everything is going through the 277c delay. The 261e is also going through the 297 infinite phase shifter. The R pad is controling a bit of timbre vibrato on the 261e via the 256e and modulemodule lfo."

Posted this one on MATRIXSYNTH-B earlier today and didn't really take notice of the VXExpanded label on it. I just thought it was a sticker like the one on the back. I just took another look at the pics and the listing and didn't find any additional info. I ran a quick search for it here on MATRIXSYNTH and found that I've never posted it before. I did a quick search on the internet for it and nothing but some expired listings on Craigslist for the VS-1680 and VS-880 came up.

Does anyone know know what it is?

Thought these were interesting. All multi-tracked Minimoog with some effects.

Via Ed Zuccollo: "For my talkbox set! Soloed some synth parts because they are so epic and lush. They are monophonic synths multitracked into Logic to make chordy pads. There are some effects on them like Valhalla DSP Ubermod and VintageVerb, some hardware sidechain compression with the FMR Audio RNC, and EQ, tremolo etc."
