RCA Theremin HYMNE A L'AMOUR

Published on Dec 5, 2015 Peter Pringle

"I made a video of this classic Edith Piaf song several years ago when YouTube quality was not as good as it is today and everything sounded as if it had been recorded at the bottom of a swimming pool. Here is a new theremin version of the song played on Samuel Hoffman’s 1929 RCA theremim. I lived in Paris for a while in the late 1960’s and it is one of the most wonderful cities in the world."

I added this one to the tribute post here.

Sequential Circuits Prophet T8 SN 000742

"A monstrous 8 voice polysynth from SCI! The T8 has a very fat Prophet-5-like tone. This synth adds many illustrious new features (for its time) such as full MIDI implementation, 76 full size weighted keys with velocity and aftertouch, split/layer double/unison keyboard modes, and a simple but useful real-time sequencer. The new keyboard features many dynamics enhancements, ie: aftertouch can affect pitch, level, filter or the LFO. It was Sequential's finest analog synthesizer. Digital control of analog sound with an extremely flexible, intuitive and beautiful design - right down to the wood panels! Here's a great write-up [on Sound on Sound] about the T8 if you want to learn more specifications.

This Sequential Circuits Prophet T-8 is in great condition. The ROMs have been upgraded to 3.7/3.8 from Wine Country Sequential. I replaced all of the foam in the keybed. Two defective voices were repaired, and the oscillator and filter trims are calibrated."

"Up for sale Novation Nova Synth Module. The synth is in good condition with minimal wear. It sounds great, and works good. A real classic of analog digital sound. The only thing is, if you scroll fast data knobs (there are only 2 of them) very fast it will skip sometimes, but if you go slow it works fine. All other knobs dont skip and work perfect. Other than that its in good working condition. It comes with O/S 4.1 Loaded."

Buchla 100 wave generator 195 filter

Published on Dec 5, 2015 DJjondent

"This is quick demo of the Buchla 100 for a future remix.
This take is all live, unedited with lots of mistakes - I'm experimenting mainly with the 195 filter. I started with the intention of only using one VCO (a 144) and the 195 , ten channel (Octave Format) comb filter to see how many sounds I could get from a minimal setup.

Over the course of the night I decided to add 3 more VCOs - two 158s & a second 144.

Buchla Easel and a 4U expander

Published on Dec 5, 2015 Nicolas Lévy

"Added a few modules to the Easel.
247v by Verbos
259r built by Roman
And a Modcan 59a delay DIYed in Buchla format.

In this patch the most noticeable effect is achieved by having the pressure controlling the delay feedback.
The 259r is modulated by the 2nd cv out of the 247v, the easel mod osc and the easel envelope.
The 247v is sending pulses at each step to clock the 59a. When it skips a step it gives the nice "rolling" effect in the sequence.
The sequence is the Easel complex osc, no envelope, just the 247v steps out sending pulses to open the Easel VCA/LPG."
