How to convert a stombox into a Eurorack module

Published on Jun 5, 2018 LeoMakes

"In this episode, we convert a DIY guitar pedal into a Eurorack module. First, I explain how we're going to do it. Then, we make the conversion. Finally, we hook everything up and play some drum sounds through it to hear how it sounds.

0:38 - The plan
4:49 - The build
8:01 - Hear it in action"

3:56 - An explanation of the module and its controls
6:43 - Hear the RAT clone in action

Watch Leo make a RAT distortion pedal clone, explain why it's amazing on synths, and make some cool sounds with it!

"New membrane panel replacement just completed (April 2018).

This synth was manufactured in 1983 by Fender in Japan. It is very clean, and a fine example of a Polaris which has not seen gig action. You may be hard pressed to find a cleaner Polaris on the market anywhere.

This particular Polaris has a small bit of oxidation (rust spots) on top right corner of panel. It's not very noticeable, but see pics. The exterior is otherwise 99%+ pristine and in nearly-perfect condition for a circa 1985-86 vintage instrument.

This is a six-voice (12 VCOs total) synth with a 61-key velocity sensitive keyboard. It has selective pitch bend, which lets you bend some notes in a chord while keeping others fixed. It has a MIDI interface, and includes a built-in sequencer."

"E-mu Emax SE HD (latest model w/ SCSI) sampler/synthesizer. It is in good shape both physically and mechanically. It has a HxC floppy drive emulator installed that allows you to save/load floppy disk images off of a USB drive. I will include a USB drive with 90 factory E-mu disk images that you can load into the Emax. The old, heavy 20MB SCSI hard disk was removed as it stopped working long ago (HxC is the much better option anyways)."

Ensoniq Fizmo Transwave Synthesizer Rare Vocoder Synth With Flight Case

Update: looks like the listing was swapped out with a Keytek CTS 2000. I'm not finding a new or separate listing for the Fizmo. Will keep this post up for the images.

"There isn’t another synth out there quite the ensoniq Fizmo trsnswave synth. The way it sounds can only be described as alien x files type stuff and the vocoder is sick. They only made a handful. This one is great with only a small scratch on the corner..."

"This is a superb synth. She plays beautifully, incredible condition. The weighted keyboard is the best I have ever used. It feels like a Fatar keyboard.

The sounds are out of this world, if you're looking at this auction, it's because you already know how amazing these old synths are. It was designed famously by Mario Maggi who also designed the Elka Synthex."

iLep Cello Session

Published on Jun 5, 2018 Oliver Greschke

"iLEP is a modular instrument/effect app for live-electronic performances. The original iPad version was designed by Thomas Seelig, Oliver Greschke joined to finish the app.

See Schloss Mirabell playing with Cello and iLep. The Cello has a pickup, which is going directly into an iRig Stomp box (iPad soundcard). Additional modulation gets done with a midi foot pedal.

4 06 18 Scrotum Lab - Orgone Accumulator and Xpander

Published on Jun 4, 2018 batchas

"A lot of fun in perspective with the Xpander for the Orgone Accumulator.
Here with Radio Music which gets the same CV than the modulation oscillator on the Orgone.
They go very well together!"
