New Synton Fenix IV Progress Update via TiNRS

via This is Not Rocket Science:

"Fenix Experiment board no 3

This is a lots-of-DSP board. Most of the things on this Experiment board are a shell for DSP. We have developed a plugin board with sufficient processing power and memory to drive all the things. Currently, we have one of these MCU-boards working and connected to Experiment board no 3.

This thing has an awesome perspective grid pattern printed on its thick poly cover.

All pages in great shape

Has schematics, blank patch sheets and everything, unmarked complete and clean.

Stop living an incomplete life. If you own a Memorymoog complete it with this, thats how God wanted it to be so suck it up and just get the thing done and then you and your synth will finally be at peace."

"EII+ with new LCD and new buttons.

Two issues (neither affect sound):

1.) Panel Overlay Peeling - common issue on these old units, new ones are widely available.

2.) Minor dent on top of case above disk drive - looks like a hot cup of coffee was set on top of unit, visual only, does not impact the structure of the case at all (see pic 5).

Comes with approx. 100 disks (most working, some untested).

HXC floppy emulator can be installed for an additional $150"

"Apparently out of production and rare. A couple of minor marks as seen in photo. Low use, never gigged. Fun! See: lorre-mill.com

Double Knot is an all analog synthesizer which is both sequencer and voice. It can be thought of as something of an indeterministic "groovebox". A stereo instrument with two identical voices that can give different rhythms, melodies or cross timbral slaps. The idea of this instrument is to invite reconciliation of linear and nonlinear systems, and to encourage the building of multiple-feedback synthesis architectures. User interface is with rotary potentiometers, switches, and banana cables. Patching puts are banana ports of round brass tube. Clock in and out are 3.5mm jacks bearing 5V square waves. Audio output is stereo 3.5mm line out."
