"This listing is for just the powered boat that houses and powers 3 Buchla 200E modules (or more half modules). The modules are sold separately. Please note the panel on the back with the 2 jacks has since been removed as it’s part of the polyphonic tuner module that we sold separately, so there’s now an empty hole in that space where the yellow X is in the photos. Tested and working fine."

"Vintage 1979-1980 Yamaha SK-20 Symphonic Ensemble Analog Synth in Excellent Condition!

This synth is old school cool.

Highly sought after in this condition.

Turned it on and tested it, outputs glorious strings, organ, and poly synths.

Offers the player the ability to use different sounds in different registers simultaneously, hence the Symphonic Ensemble name.

Even has different outputs so you can send each of the poly synth, organ, and mixed signals out to different amps/speakers!

Or route the three outputs into three separate channels of your recording rig for increased control of your panning and mix levels.

Has foot control capability to wax and wane strings with a volume pedal while keeping the mixed volume separate.

1/4” Headphone out jack for quiet practicing.

Sustain foot switch capability.

Can also output to a cabinet via the EXT ToneCabinet output.

There are signs of light use. This SK-20 has aged very nicely."

"Our Emax was upgraded to the SE option a year or two after initial purchase on 11/19/87 (this is according to my handwritten notes on the original factory manual), and the amazing Craig Anderton-authored manual is for the original Model 1000 Emax that is now called an Emax 1. Our original factory 10 disk sample floppy set is augmented with the SE upgrade three disk set. Then, there are 100+ additional floppies with all sorts of extra sample libraries, too.

As the photos and demo video shows, our Emax is in incredible original condition - especially considering other Emaxes that are shown by folks. Mine has never been toured and has only known studio life in a loving, caring, safe environment - just like all of our instruments at PlethoraTone. There really are only a couple of case finish scratches from over the decades, but the factory labeling and pastel buttons are all exactly as shown - totally excellent! Of the small slider buttons, one cap looks slightly different from the other, and while the Emax's display is completely legible there's now just a little bit of LCD backlighting remaining - all detailed in the photos.

In the 90s I had the 3.5" floppy drive replaced, and Pat at Seattle’s Bozotronics did the repair and bezel substitution that have worked 100% ever since. I can't remember why, but while the replacement drive is totally compatible with data, the disk access LED always stays on, and always has. Shortly afterward, I vaguely remember purchasing the pictured "replacement replacement" Canon MD351 floppy drive, but this spare drive has never been used. Also, there's yet another floppy drive that was marked defective in the storage box, and perhaps this is our original? Anyway, all of these plus an IEC power cord will be sent to the new owners (if they like - if not, I'll rebate some of the shipping if there's only a single box sent in total).

I cannot remember ever having any additional work performed because our Emax has always worked beautifully!"

Speed King (Deep Purple Cover) - Nord Drum 3P, Arturia MiniV + Juno (Ableton Live Performance)

video upload by Jannis Le Wolff

"- 𝓸𝓻𝓲𝓰𝓲𝓷𝓪𝓵 𝓼𝓸𝓷𝓰 𝓫𝔂 𝓓𝓮𝓮𝓹 𝓟𝓾𝓻𝓹𝓵𝓮

🎸 In this instrumental series I'm playing some classics of Rock/Pop music history from the 60s and 70s in some alienated electronic version. For this video I was using the Nord Drum 3P, the Arturia V Collection (MiniV + Juno) as well as the KMI Softstep. The whole set is controlled via Ableton Live.

The Drumbeat is factory preset B30 of the Nord Drum 3P, the Bass is some 3 oscillator sound with the Arturia MiniV and the organ is made with the Arturia Juno plugin.

For mixing I just used some gentle EQ and Compression (mostly FabFilter) and also some Soundtoys effects like Decapitator and Echoboy."

Door #16: Jingle Bells - Synthmas '21

video upload by Synthfluencer

"Ho-Ho-Ho! This is Synthmas '21, the virtual calendar presenting a Christmas carol played by synthesizers - every day from 1st to 24th of December.

The song:
This well known winter's song was made by american composer James Lord Pierpont around 1850. The song is actually about a horse sleigh race and has no context to Christmas.

The gear:
Before technology made digital multi track recording available there was tape recording. And before polyphonic synthesizers where were mono synths. In this arrangement I walk on the paths of history doing a multi track recording track by track on a loop station. All sounds come from the Yamaha CS-5 mono synthesizer. The challenge of multi track recording is timing. The loop station BOSS RC-202 represents state of the art technology that helps to synchronize the tracks. I can imagine how much work it was to record albums like "Switched on Bach" by Wendy Carlos when everything had to be done by hand and ear.

PS Sorry for the bad video quality
