Oberheim OB-X8 Sound Demo (no talking) - Preset walkthrough at Superbooth 2022

video upload by Bonedo Synthesizers

Sequential Take 5, gran tacto y sonido en un polifónico de 3 octavas

video upload by Hispasonic

"Esta ha sido una de nuestras primeras paradas en Superbooth 2022. El espacio de Sequential, lleno de ejemplares de todo su catálogo actual, nos ha permitido probar el Take 5, polifónico de 5 octavas con el que nos hemos sentido muy a gusto desde el primer momento.

Podéis escucharlo a través de unos pocos ejemplos jugando con sus primeros presets y alterándolos rápidamente desde el panel."

"This has been one of our first stops at Superbooth 2022. The Sequential space, full of copies from its entire current catalog, has allowed us to test Take 5, a 5-octave polyphonic with which we have felt very comfortable since the first moment.

You can listen to it through a few examples playing with its first presets and quickly altering them from the panel."

All SEQUENTIAL Sequencers: PRO 3, REV2, AS-1 (Berlin School style)

video upload by Alba Ecstasy

"Prophet REV2 patches 👉 https://www.albaecstasy.ro/prophet-rev2/ Toraiz AS-1 patches 👉 https://www.albaecstasy.ro/toraiz-as-1/

All my @Sequential & Dave Smith Instruments sequencers playing - a Berlin School theme - on their own internal clock, no MIDI connections between them.

During the recording they loose the timing, but for a nice sounding result I adjusted it a little bit in Logic Pro.

The Prophet REV2 is playing in stack A+B mode - a sequence and a low kick, unfortunately recorded on the main output.

All three synths are capable more of these simple sequence lines: step motion, gate sequencing, complex percussions lines and more!

A little bit of Eventide reverb for REV2 & AS-1, since they only have one effect at a time.
All #ambient #patches designed by Alba Ecstasy (a sound pack for #SequentialPRO3 coming soon!)

These are not my best sequencing lines, but I just wanted to share with you a little joy that got me making music again, after we loss Klaus Schulze...

❤️, ae"

Moog Semi-Modular Synthesizers: Interconnectivity VI

video upload by Moog Music Inc

"Two Moog semi-modular instruments, Matriarch and DFAM, play together and with a Make Noise Morphagene processed by the Moogerfooger MuRF.

In this patch, DFAM serves as a master clock, passing through Matriarch’s multiple and syncing to Matriarch’s sequencer. A drumming sample is looped on the Morphagene, tuned by ear to be roughly in time with the DFAM and reset by the DFAM every bar. The Morphagene is filtered by a Moogerfooger MuRF whose pattern rate is tuned by ear to match the DFAM. DFAM generates a simple kick and snare drum pattern, while Matriarch creates a central bass line. Matriarch’s four oscillators are gradually faded in for denser, thicker tones, and stereo filter motion is gently applied."

Oberheim's New OB-X8, Hands-On Demo From Superbooth 2022

video upload by Reverb

"Oberheim is back in a big way, relaunching its world-famous OB-X. The 40-year-old legend gets a full reboot though, letting you choose between three different OB architectures of the past—the original OB-X, OB-Xa, and OB-8—and the ability to make sounds no other previous model can make."

Superbooth 22: Sebastian Merchel - Prototype Drum Beam

video upload by sonicstate

"Sebastian Merchel showed us his prototype Drum Beam (working title) and we were mightily impressed.

The instrument takes the form of a length of metal pipe, which, when hit, sends midi information over USB. Basically wherever, and however hard you hit it, it triggers any number of sounds, even allowing the performance of melodic parts.

Sebastian plans to go into production in the next two years, and is now looking for collaborators, could it be you?

There is currently no company name, and no website, but this will all change soon, so keep your ear to the ground!"

Superbooth 22: Dreadbox - DIY Kits

video upload by sonicstate

"We met up with Yannis from Dreadbox to see his three new DIY kit synths.

The Erebus version 2 (the best version, according to Yannis) is re-released as a simple DIY kit with a real wooden case, though if you wish, it can be euroracked. It is identical to the original, except the envelopes are of an improved digital design. Also reissued is Hades, again with improved digital envelopes and also eurorackable. Finally we met Dysmetria, a new 2 oscillator analogue synth and sequencer in kit form, but this time with through-hole components, so it might be a little more challenging to put together for a beginner.

Dysmetria is available now. Price: 200 euros

Hades and Erebus available July. Price TBC: 200-250 euros"

Superbooth 22: Dirtywave - M8 Portable Tracker

video upload by sonicstate

"Tim from Dirtywave introduced the M8 Tracker telling us it was influenced by a Gameboy tracker called Little Sound DJ, and the pocket-sized beauty definitely appeals to the playful.

The M8 has 8 tracks, audio input and output, midi in and out, FM synthesis, stereo sampling that streams directly from SD card, a super sharp touch-screen, and built in effects. Surely that can't all fit into one pocket?

Dirtywave M8 Tracker available to preorder now. Shipping in July.

Price: 550 USD"

Analog Four + Octatrack + Modular Analog Synth | Studio Wonk

video upload by Mamotreco

"Mucking about with the Elektron Analog Four, Octatrack, and a modular analog synth and see what sort of electronic track I could build from a couple of initial patterns and sequences. After hours synth studio vibes.
