"You know what we are talking about, don't you? So, this is it, as Hans Zimmer, Jarre, ELP used to play. Just a few words. If you are looking for a PS-3200, you have to know that you'll NEVER find one like this. This is it. Esthetically, it seems come from a time capsule, functionally overhauled by professional techs, recapped, ALL OF THE IC FREQ DIVIDERS REPLACED with the new ones, that don't go bad... (the old ones went bad, no mercy... These will work for decades). Wood is astounding, some signs of time but... wow. The panel is pristine. The keyboard, with the UBER-RARE original cable, PS-3001 60P (60 pin), is smooth like new. Included is the double original pedal for modulations. It is 100% working."

MOOG Sonic Six AC School Educational Analog Synthesizer

"SONIC SIX, a duophonic analog synthesizer sold by moog from 1972 to 1979.

This model was released as a model for school education, and its biggest feature is its trunk-shaped chassis. The top part contains the synthesizer and the bottom part contains the keyboard.
Speakers are also built in, and the sound can be played by opening the lid and connecting the power supply.

Originally designed as an educational model, it is more like a voice synthesizer/oscillator than a keyboard, requiring a knack for sound creation. It has two modulation systems and a ring modulator, and can be used for duophonic or two-note polyphony, which is rare for MOOG. Of course, it also has outputs, and if you connect it to a high-quality speaker, it can reproduce the strong bass sound characteristic of analog synthesizers.

It has been maintained by a specialist.
Glissando knob has been replaced. There are repair marks on other knobs.

Item rank: B: Fairly scratched and used, but no problems in normal use.
Case:No
Manual:No
Other accessories:AC cable"

Formants - Noise Lab Formantic and Mannequins Mangrove

video upload by John Schussler

"Noise Lab has recently released their latest module, the Formantic [see this post]. It's a "formant filter," which in this case means it's really three filters in one: a low pass filter plus two band pass filters. The cutoffs and resonances of all three can be set independently, as well as be controlled through a common cutoff knob.

I was curious both about its sound when driven by a standard VCO (e.g. Dixie) and how it would sound with the Mangrove, an oscillator designed to produce formants on its own. If one formant module is good, surely two is better, yes?

You be the judge.
