"A look at the Studio Electronics SE-1X as an alternative to the Moog Minimoog. The provenance is there... but is the sound? That's what we're here to find out! It's got a shared backstory, with SE having originally creating the MIDIMOOG using genuine Moog circuits.
Its got presets, 3xLFO, 4xENV, 3 filters, MIDI control, editor/librarian etc.. so functionally its got a lot more than other Moog impersonators, and depending on your workflow can be a much more useful studio tool. Presets can be a godsend!
oh... and it can sound filthy!
