"This vintage ARP Odyssey has just been fully serviced in May 2023 by Synthchaser, the top ARP specialist - recapped, new key bushings, all new LED sliders, fully functional, tuned and calibrated, and sounding awesome! The Odyssey was ARP's answer to the Minimoog, a feature packed scaled down version of the legendary ARP 2600. This late model ARP Odyssey is equipped with the 4075 filter, a tasty 4 pole LPF found in all late model ARP synths.
The synth is in great condition. The only flaw worth mentioning is some staining on the left leather side panel (see photos). This synth comes with Orange illuminated LED sliders to complement the Orange & Black color scheme of this late model ARP. I can disable the illumination for the buyer before shipping, upon request at the time of purchase, and with the slider caps I've installed it will look very much like original.
Work just completed on the synth included:
- Synthchaser Precision LED slider upgrade - All 34 of the old original sliders have been replaced with new, smooth, high precision LED illuminated sliders. The difference in the way these sliders feel and perform compared to the originals is a huge improvement. LEDs run off their own power supply mounted inside the synth.
- Illuminated slider caps - Slider caps with a translucent plastic stripe that allows the LED illumination to shine through, while giving you something substantial to grip onto. They look and feel awesome!
- Power supply rebuilt - All tantalum and electrolytic capacitors in the power supply have been replaced, and high quality, high temperature 105 deg C capacitors have been used for the power supply filter capacitors.
- All tantalum capacitors replaced - The tantalum capacitors in ARP synths are ticking time bombs. All tantalum capacitors in this synth have been replaced with electrolytics to help provide stable operation for years to come.
- 4075 Filter Enhancement - This ARP Odyssey uses 4075 filter submodule found in all late model ARP synthesizers like the Quadra and the Omni. This filter was designed with a calculation error that limited the cutoff frequency. The 4075 filter submodule has been recapped, corrected to provide superior frequency response, and tested for proper operation in the Synthchaser custom test fixture
- Keyboard rebuild - New key bushings installed, keys removed and ultrasonically cleaned, bus bars removed and polished, key contacts cleaned and adjusted.
- Oscilloscope calibration - Calibrated & tuned using oscilloscope and frequency counter."

Working Computone Lyricon MIDI Driver, Control Voltage EWI

"This is a working vintage Computone Lyricon Wind Driver with a built-in JL Cooper MIDI Wind Driver and a separate Eurorack Lyricon Interface module. The wind transducer was replaced by the incredible David O’Brien in 2019, and he also designed and created the Lyricon Eurorack module. This Driver is in excellent condition. I have been using Lyricons since 1981 and this is my backup Driver which has not been played often.
The Lyricon Wind Driver was the second model produced by Computone in the late ’70s/early ‘80s and is the only Lyricon that exclusively outputs control voltages (CV) to operate analog synthesizers, or even MIDI synthesizers if the CV is converted to MIDI using the rare JL Cooper MIDI Wind Driver or the Kenton Pro CV to MIDI Converter. It is incredibly flexible for controlling modular synthesizers and CV synthesizers and effects and the depth and feel of the breath transducer is unmatched by any modern wind controller.
Control Voltage outputs (9) for:
Pitch 1 (~+83 mVDC to ~+3.5 VDC)
Wind 1 (~+0.5 mVDC to ~+3.5 VDC)
Lip 1 (~0 VDC open reed to ~+10 VDC closed reed)
Pitch 2 (adjustable with Tuning and Scale sliders)
Wind 2 (adjustable with Wind 2 slider and threshold knob)
Bend Down (no bend to ~one octave down, 0 to 10 on slider)
Bend Up (no bend to ~one octave up, 0 to 10 on slider)
Windgate 1 (with slider)
Windgate 2 (with slider)
Footswitch/Remote for Octave Selection
Accessory Patch Output contains most of the above CV outputs
Additionally, the installed JL Cooper Wind Driver supplies a MIDI output on the case side next to the AC cord input, 1/4-inch input jacks for the MIDI CHORD and HOLD functions, and a series of trim pots on the back of the case.
Includes the Lyricon Wind Driver with built-in JL Cooper MIDI Wind Driver electronics, Lyricon Eurorack interface module, a printout of the Lyricon Driver manual, a printout of the JL Cooper Wind Driver manual, and AC cord.
Unit size, weight: 27” x 12” x 6”, 13.5 lbs. (68.6 cm x 30.48 cm x 13.3 cm, 6.123497 kg)"

"Yes this beast is ugly but yes it works, it could use a-little cleaning. It sounds big and it has an interesting organ tone. The top section is a built in Moog Satellite which that alone goes for 800-1000$."

OP-1 Field as an ambient machine! ðŸ’
video upload by Andrea Marzilli
"This is a simple recipe for soundscaping with a great little machine! ✨
- Turn on an OP-1 Field
- Record 3 different synth tape tracks, then lower the pitch by an octave
- Add a long Mother reverb
- Open Ableton Live
- Add a Soundtoys Crystallizer - going into a Valhalla Supermassive
- Play random notes on the last 4 tape tracks of the OP-1 Field
Enjoy.
But with headphones, please! 🎧"
