Touch - Black Star promo 1978.avi

YouTube via Healer1965 | October 16, 2010 |
Some custom synth spotting. Custom white Minimoog with detached remote keyboard. You can see it connected to the Minimoog under the white Solina. Not sure what the bigger system is.

"This is taken from the original promo that the band did that led to the contract with Ariola records.

Touch are...
Craig Brooks - Guitars, vocals
Mark Mangold - Keyboards, vocals
Doug Howard - Bass, vocals
Glen Kithcart - Drums, vocals"

via bauke

Update: the wind instrument is a very rare Hohner Electro Melodica. Via Mike on the AH list. You can find some info in German here, Googlish here.

Update via bauke van der wal in the comments: "
just as the lyrics said: so close, yet so far ... there was a post one year ago about the same thing :-)" [the melodica that is, not the video]

  2. good god indeed, but i still don't know what wind-controller he's using in the solo at around 3:00 :-)

thank gawd musical taste also becomes better with time, though i do admit i own their first (and only) album. what can i say, it was '79 and i likes the big fat hammond & moog layering in my hardrock ;-)
