Touch - Black Star promo 1978.avi
YouTube via Healer1965 | October 16, 2010 |
Some custom synth spotting. Custom white Minimoog with detached remote keyboard. You can see it connected to the Minimoog under the white Solina. Not sure what the bigger system is.
"This is taken from the original promo that the band did that led to the contract with Ariola records.
Touch are...
Craig Brooks - Guitars, vocals
Mark Mangold - Keyboards, vocals
Doug Howard - Bass, vocals
Glen Kithcart - Drums, vocals"
via bauke
Update: the wind instrument is a very rare Hohner Electro Melodica. Via Mike on the AH list. You can find some info in German here, Googlish here.
Update via bauke van der wal in the comments: "
just as the lyrics said: so close, yet so far ... there was a post one year ago about the same thing :-)" [the melodica that is, not the video]

What do I do with this?!

"This is the cute little Odeco I ran home and bought after seeing the gorgeous Momo owned by Becca at the London meet recently. I am really pleased with her although she is nameless at the minute. I was thinking maybe Ringo because of her bowl cut :P"

iPhone Music Apps
YouTube via thehighams. via Palm Sounds
"This new video again explores the idea of composing music inside the timeline of Final Cut Pro, it features the following nine iPhone music apps - Melodica, Easy Guitar, NLog Synth Free, iRockGuitar Lite, Mobilesynth, Drum Kit Lite, Kalimba Free, Junglist Lite and the mighty Bebot.
It was shot on mini DV (canon XL1s) and was sliced up in FCP, there's a detailed walkthrough of the entire process up at the blog. The blog is at http://www.foilface.com and my twitter username is at the end of the video. Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or suggestions for the next one!
There's a better quality version over at v i m e o where you can also download a HD 60fps Quicktime version.
Be sure to swing by www.foilface.com for more random creative wibblings, we've got a lot going on over there currently!
Thanks for reading and watching
