They are not direct quotes, but rather vague reverberations that are like distant, hazy memories. They pass in an instant, but are burned into your mind as vivid flashbacks. It's as if the future of the 80s is being reconstructed with current technology.

Turning the SUMMIT or PEAK into an Oberheim

"Its remarkably easy to do the Oberheim thing on a Novation SUMMIT or PEAK I attempted to recreate a few of my favourite OB-X8 patches and the SUMMIT sounded amazingly close.

So I've looked a bit deeper and come up with some simple rules to stick within the limitations of the Vintage Oberheim to get those classic tones.

.. and it works a treat :)

Replicant VCF is a multimode filter based on the classic Yamaha – CS80 synthesizers filter section. This module is a -12 dB per octave second-order state variable filter. It offers low-pass, band-pass, and high-pass outputs.

Replicant VCF is designed to replicate the sound characteristics of the Yamaha CS80 filter as closely as possible. The CS80 is known for its warm and mellow sound, and the Replicant VCF reproduces those distinctive characteristics in Eurorack format. Only a limited number of these were made and they are hard to find on the used market. Tested and fully functional. Cosmetically it's in near mint shape with only very minor signs of wear. This one had to be imported to the USA from France, and is a 220V model.
