"Power Requirements: Original antiquated internal battery was replaced with a hardwired "wall wart" power supply by a professional technician in Chicago

Origin: USA

Operational Condition: Fully-Functioning

Cosmetic Condition: Very good with the aforementioned modification to the power source and some other light marks, signs of its age. 8.5 out of 10 condition

Description: This rare Moog Melodia Theremin is the first instrument that Bob Moog built and released to the public. Its historic significance aside, it's a beautiful, functional piece of art with a lovely sound (well, not when I'm playing it but when someone who knows how to play does) that has been upgraded for modern use and ready to delight for decades to come! Your studio needs this fantastic and historic instrument!"

"1970s Moog Satellite, single VCO synthesizer. Originally designed to compliment an organ or stage piano. Fun piece of Moog history, includes a very tattered user guide as pictured. Has metal brackets installed on the side panels, probably for a custom made stand. They can be removed upon request."

Akai S1000KB Digital Stereo Sampling Keyboard w/ LED Screen SN 50625-00110

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this Reverb listing

"This is one of the rarest Akai units ever manufactured with the alleged total quantity in existence being under 1000. It is an S1000 at its heart but features a built in keyboard along with the capability of handling an 80mb hard disk (double that of a standard S1000). This example was just gone over by a professional and received a brand new LED screen which can be seen in any lighting unlike the factory screen. It includes a disk with some sounds on it, but you will likely want to make your own and sample accordingly."

Welson Super-Matic S12

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this Reverb listing

You can demos in previous posts here.

"The unit is fully working and in good cosmetical condition for its age with some cosmetical traces of use in the wood case. The only thing to report is that the on/off switch button in this unit is not working. So, to turn the drum machine on and off you simply have to unplug the drum machine! Inside the drum machine there is something that moves (a screw or something else), but - since the drum machine works well - we never decided to remove it. Real vintage gem from Italy: grab a bargain!

DESCRIPTION: The Welson Super-Matic S12 is a vintage Italian analog rhythm box drum machine with 12 preset rhythms. Produced in early 70's, it has 4 pads to trigger 4 sounds: Roll Drum, Claves, Tom 1 and Tom 2. Then it has 12 different rythms: Waltz, Tango, Western, March, Samba, Mambo, Bossa Nova, Swing, Shake, Slow Rock, Rythm and Blues and Metronome.

It has a potentiometer to control the volume and another to control the tempo.

It has 4 push buttons (pads trigger) that allow you to play 4 different types of percussions at any time (Roll drum, Clave, Tom1 and Tom2).

It has a START/STOP and an ON/OFF switch (IMPORTANT: in this unit the ON/OFF button is NOT working: so, to turn the drum machine on and off you simply have to unplug it!).

It also has a light that turns on when you turn on the Super-Matic and that flashes with the frequency of the rhythm (set by the tempo potentiometer).

It also has a tone and impedance control potentiometers in the back!

Welson was the Italian brand that produced many legendary instruments. The Company was based in Castelfidardo (Marche, Italy), in the same area where Eko, Elka, Elgam, Farfisa, Crumar, Jen, Siel, Solton, CRB, etc. were born."

Optonica MX-1000 1970s Mixer / Analog Reverb / Rhythm Machine

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this Reverb listing

This looks more like an amp than a mixer. The built-in rhythm machine gets the post. This would be a fun item to show off in the studio. "Check out my new amp", then flick on the rhythm section, or route a sequence running on your other gear through it with the volume down, then say "I wonder what's on the radio", mute your main mixer and switch over to the Optonica, "Oh it's me!"

"The MX-1000 is an extremely rare product, it is a mixer, an analog reverb unit & a pre-programmed rhyrhm machine.

Warm-sounding reverb, deep sinking echoes, and saturation sounds unique to analog mixers.
Rhythm machine sound like Roland CR-78.
You can listen to these wonderful sounds on youtube.

Features :
Inputs
- 2ch Microphone
- Phono
- Aux
Reverb / Echo effects
Pre-programmed rhythm machine (Waltz, Rock, Cha Cha, Latin, Ballad, Mambo, Foxtrot & Waltz Rock)"

This is the first post to feature the MX-1000. Curios what the rhythm circuits are based on.

Modified DIGIAC 4010 Logic Trainer SN 1007

via this eBay listing

This appears to be the first post to feature DIGIAC.

"This was originally a logic trainer for education but I re-purposed it as a logic source to experiment with hybrid analog/digital modular music synthesizers. I'm selling it because I no longer have a modular synth to use it with. It has been rebuilt with all new electrolytic capacitors, I/O switches and blue LEDs. Included is an assortment of multicolor patch cables that I made up with silicone jacketed wire and gold plated 2.5mm banana plugs. Mounted in a wooden enclosure it is self contained with a built-in power supply & clock generator. Size is 19"W X 17.5 "H so it fits nicely in a 19" rack 10U space. I setup a demo video of a dual decade up counter.

Logic modules included:16x JK flip flops, numeric keypad, multiple AND/NAND/OR/NOR/XOR gates, full adder, D/A converter, 1k bit addressable memory, comparator, one shot multivibrator, schmitt triggered buffer, 60Hz clock, dual seven segment decimal display, other miscellaneous functions including four I/O switches and a patchable 16 pin IC socket (nice if you want to add an additional IC or an interface cable).

Cosmetic condition: Fair to good with some scratches on the panel and damage to the wooden enclosure (see pictures).

Power source: 120VAC
Logic family: 7400 series 5V TTL"

Moog Opus 3 analog poly synth / string / brass / organ SN 2409

"Unit was almost fully recaped, the infamous black foam was removed and pcb cleaned, some faders were replaced and others were taken apart and cleaned. The rare Reticon SAD512D BBD chipsets that make the lush chorus fx were replaced (they often die on those synths) and the synth was calibrated. It plays and sounds like it should. Some faders may still crackle a bit but nothing to be worried about. Some of those faders, the dual gang ones are simply unsourceable."
