Rare Gleeman Pentaphonic

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this listing

"Very Rare.

Serviced by Vintage Synth & Co in Paris.

Everything works perfectly.

The Pentaphonic is a five-voice polyphonic analog synthesizer released in 1982. It was designed by brothers Al and Bob Gleeman and featured three DCOs for a stable and juicy analog sound. The Pentaphonic was in the running against such classics as the Sequential Prophet-5, Moog Minimoog and Polymoog, and the Oberheim 4-Voice. But the Gleeman Pentaphonic (and the Pentaphonic Clear) are extremely rare! Only about 30 Pentaphonics and 20 Pentaphonic Clears were ever made."

ARP - Model 2600 Synthesizer SN 0962

"ARP - Model 2600 Synthesizer - Early 70s USA Synthesizer w/ 3620 Keyboard - x0962 - VINTAGE

The ARP 2600, introduced in the early 1970s, is a semi-modular analog synthesizer that became a cornerstone in the world of electronic music. Designed by Alan R. Pearlman and his team at ARP Instruments, this synthesizer was renowned for its versatility and rich sound. Unlike fully modular systems, the ARP 2600 came pre-wired, allowing musicians to play it straight out of the box while still offering the flexibility to reconfigure its signal path using patch cables. This made it accessible to both beginners and seasoned synthesists. Its robust build and portability also contributed to its popularity, making it a favorite for live performances and studio work alike.

One of the standout features of the ARP 2600 is its built-in spring reverb, which adds a distinctive depth and character to its sound. The synthesizer includes three voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs), a voltage-controlled filter (VCF), and a voltage-controlled amplifier (VCA), providing a wide range of sonic possibilities. The ARP 2600’s ability to produce everything from deep basses to soaring leads and complex sound effects made it a go-to instrument for many iconic artists and sound designers. Its influence can be heard in numerous classic tracks and film scores, cementing its legacy as one of the most important synthesizers in music history."

Moog Prodigy 32-Key Monophonic Analog Synthesizer SN 10069X

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this listing

"MOOG Prodigy MK2 MKII recently serviced by a specialized technician.

As you can see from the photo, it is an MK2 because it has an S-Trig input for remote control (also via midi with an adapter).

The Moog Prodigy is a monophonic analog synthesizer produced between 1979 and 1984, known for its simplicity, accessibility and characteristic warm and powerful sound. It is equipped with two oscillators that generate square and sawtooth waves, a resonant low-pass filter and a modulation section that allows you to create dynamic and rich sounds.

Despite being a relatively simple synthesizer compared to more complex Moog models, the Prodigy has a versatile sound range, used in genres such as rock, synth-pop and electronic music. Its ease of use and distinctive sound have made the Moog Prodigy a beloved instrument for many musicians and producers over the years, also making it a highly sought-after collector's item today."

Additional SYNTH CITY Listings

"The Chroma Polaris was the predecessor to the classic Rhodes Chroma. Even with its heritage, the Chroma series of keyboards has seemed to resist the inflation that vintage analog synths often have. This synth gives massive sounds with the added benefit of having midi I/O. A hi-fi synth with 6 voices of analog polyphony. Creamy sounds, very lush with tons of character. Total sleeper! Wow.

Service notes:

-Replaced membrain switch panels
-Removed all faders and disassembled and cleaned, reinstalled
-Replaced supply caps on panel boards
-Resoldered other panel board components and connectors
-Replaced filter caps and all power supply caps
-Cleaned keys and key assembly
-Cleaned all power supply connectors
-Resoldered panel board LEDs
-Cleaned bender faders, straightened shafts of panel board faders"

Yamaha CS-80 REFURBISHED -Borish Electronics-

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this listing

"For sale is a Yamaha CS-80 that has been professionally refurbished by Borish Electronics. All electrolytic capacitors have been replaced. Most CMOS ICs have been replaced. It has been expertly calibrated. All of this totals literally 100 hours of work. It sound amazing. The sale includes the legs, lid, music stand, and leg bag. The legs are missing a lock knob, but I might be able to find a replacement. Currently, I'm using a zip tie to lock the legs and it works just fine. The legs and leg bag alone sell for $2000. The legs have significant pitting in some places. There is tape residue on the left hand panel. There are some scratches on the top grill and some sort of drink spill that damaged the paint to the right of the ribbon controller."
