This one is in need of some work.

"Decent condition for over 40 years old, but sadly no longer working. It does not make a sound anymore. I managed to find the schematics online, but don't have the electronic knowledge. It has a nice moog style filter, and sounds very vintage when working."

"An Eko K2 Analogue Synth Bass Pedal from the late 1970s.
Very good condition. Got new, full functional 3-PDT switches.
All the tolex is in great shape with only one or two little nicks on the edge. It sounds superb through a bass or guitar amplifier. All in all a very rare retro piece of vintage synth history."

From the listing: "I bought these on eBay from a grumpy man in Shropshire in 2009 thinking I would give them the breath of life. I was particularly interested in the one and a half octave range as I was play a plain old 13 note C to C unit in the band I was in and wanted more notes.

Alas, they’ve sat in a corner of my workshop for a decade and three house moves and having given this a lot of thought I've reluctantly come to the conclusion that I’m not the one to get these old bass pedals up and running.

What you see in the photos is what you get. The sides/feet disintegrated at some point and were thrown away. As you can see, the base, included in the sale, is also in the process of disintegrating!

I’ve tested them and they power up and make some noises and I think all the pedals work, the photo with the lights shows those that fire up. The volume is a little scratchy but should clean up okay. I suspect the electrolytic capacitors will all need replacing along with some of the lights a thoroughly good clean and a new case! In short they need the love and attention I don’t have time to give them to get them back up and working as they should."

Mint condition, one owner hardly used. Still has original box, and stand, music stand missing.

Probably the best example to be offered up for sale in 10 years.

Good ergonomics, the keyboard is a full-size four octave C-C design. The single speaker is situated to the left of the modern-looking sloping control panel and also underneath .

Roughly, the controls are divided into four sections, which will be dealt with from left to right. First, the sliding Master Volume control and below that a set of five Orchestra tabs, giving Flute 16 foot, Flute 8 foot, Flute 4 foot, and Strings. These are fully polyphonic sounds.

The next section is marked Synth, with two sliders for Glide and Synth Volume above and five tabs below. The tabs are Brass 1, Brass 2 and Piccolo, together with Poly and Vibrato.

"Eko K1 bass pedal. Analogue synth sound.
13 keys, 1/4 inch output with germany power plug. This is a very rare and unique piece of gear, a vintage find! All analogue old school synth sound. Similar to the Moog taurus pedals. I ran it through a few FX pedals (the line 6 FM4 turned this into a full blown 70's synthesizer) to achieve a foot controled synth.

There are 2 octave ranges. The keys go from C to C (13 pedals, 1 octave). the footswitches are for: sustain, tuning, volume, low octave, high octave, reed or string tone, power."

Essentially a non programmable preset synth. The actual name of it is the Pony Synth as you can see. Via the listing:

Update via Matthew North in the comments: "Hi there I worked at Bill Greenhalgh from 1992-1994. It was one of the biggest music shops outside of London over 3 floors sold absolutely everything."

This was Eko's answer to the early version Solina String Ensemble, and it gets very close: Bass, cello and horn sounds are literally spot on, the other three sections a bit different but quite close, again, see the video of this very machine on sale here.

Six sections with individual volume controls for each section, making it versatile compared to the Solina's On/Off.

Variable Attack and decay controls.

Weighs 16 kilos, light compared to the Solinas whopping 25... "

"This item is a EKO 13 Pedalboard self-contained board..This unit sits on the floor to the left of a regular keyboard and is played by your left foot..This organ type pedals are seen on church organs or home entertainment spinet organ types like Hammond or Baldwin..They no longer produce these type of pedals that are self contained and not midi..They have there own sounds onboard..These need a separate source of sound thru speakers or amp..This 13 pedal board was made in Italy around 1980 and in wonderful condition.."

"Ultra rare EKO COMPUTERHYTHM drum Machine, produced in very few exemplars, about 15 or 20 ever made.
It was used in some famous J-M Jarre songs as 'OXIGENE' and performances, this unit in in Near Mint conditions with an unique very special programming interface, individual outputs. It can read some exclusive punch cards in order to make some drum sequences as presets.. Awesome gear!"
