Introducing Cre8audio Programm - MIDI and CV Sequencer

video upload by Cre8audio

Check with dealers on the right for availability.

"As electronic musicians, we’ve used every sequencer under the sun. We loved the speed of some and the randomness of others, but we hated having to choose. So, we built PROGRAMM.

It’s a creative playground that bridges the gap between human performance and algorithmic generation. Whether you’re meticulously stepping in/playing a melody or using real-time randomization to find new textures, PROGRAMM keeps up with your brain. And for those moments where you accidentally forgot to hit record before playing the best sequence you’ve ever written? We built an always-ready recall function to save your soul (and your track)

Total Versatility: Step it in, play it in, or let the machine take the lead.

Controlled Chaos: Dive into deep generative tools and real-time randomization that stay musical.

Are you bilingual? Programm is: MIDI and/or CV Programm loves both!

Be hands-on (and quickly) - with its 6 orange knobs you can tweak the main parameters per step with speed and without menu diving.

PROGRAMM is built for the sketch and the deep dive. Fast enough for your first idea, deep enough to take you the whole way."

Drift DJ Industries Unveils Zero Pocket-Sized Mixing, Playback and Recording Device

video uploads by Drift DJ Industries

Press release follows:

Drift DJ Industries Unveils Zero, a pocket-sized mixing, playback and recording device for djs and electronic musicians

CHICAGO, April 13, 2026. Drift DJ Industries announces Zero, a palm-sized, battery-powered, all-in-one audio mixing, performance and recording system. With its portability and instant-on playability, Zero’s standalone 2-deck DJ system empowers DJs to break outside of the booth and bring their sound to any space. Through it’s DAWless and hybrid DJ-oriented external device sync, audio signal mixing, deep routing configuration and built-in recorder, Zero collapses key functions into a single machine, reducing the amount of hardware required to craft any sound.

Zero: Portable DJ, DAWless, Mixing and Recording

Big-Rig DJ-Features in the Palm of Your Hand

Don’t be fooled by Zero’s small size. Its robust feature set includes DJ-quality time-stretching, dedicated headphone cues, filters and FX for each playback deck. With physical controls organized in a familiar-two channel DJ mixer layout, our device is perfect for DJs who want to forgo larger laptop and controller-based setups while retaining the tactile feedback not found on mobile apps. Leave the cables and power supplies at home. Never get a meeting invite in the middle of a mix.

Compact Machine with DAW-Like Powers
Zero’s wildly-flexible signal routing UI lets users control every link in the signal path. Glue together any collection of music-making gear by routing signals from aux busses and the decks between the analog and USB I/O ports.

For example: Route audio from a Dirtywave M8 and a Roland S-1 into Zero’s analog input ports, and individually trim and EQ each device. Bus those signals together and send/return to a Hologram Chroma Console. Route that signal into the crossfader to mix the effected M8 and S-1 sound with the DJ decks. Add an OXI E-16 and map individual knobs to the M8 and S-1 bus’s post-fader, EQ controls and bi-modal filter cutoff (input control mapping is slated for post-launch release). Record several minutes of knob-tweaking as a .wav file to Zero's internal storage. Re-import that .wav file, add cuepoints and a beatgrid, and loop and layer it in with other inputs and DJ playback.

Built to Evolve
Zero is a new hardware platform and a custom Linux distribution running front-end software from our own publicly-available open source SDK. It ships with the DJ playback, library, external sync, signal routing and recording features, and it includes on-device software management for easy install of future updates. Planned updates include control input mapping, video output for streamers, third-party library support (including rekordbox and Engine DJ) and accessibility features. It fits in a fanny pack, but Zero will develop new capabilities by the truckload.

See our device specs and release roadmap for more info.

Meet Zero in Person
Stop by our exhibitor tables at the following events:
SynthFest France, Nantes, April 17th-19th
Superbooth, Berlin, May 7th-9th

Pricing and Availability
Zero is in presale and priced at $899, with an expected release date of Summer 2026.

Birds by Aylesim -- Generative Melody Sequencer for Ableton Live (MaxforLive Demo)

video upload by Isotonik Studios

"Birds by Aylesim is a MaxforLive instrument that generates and evolves 16-step melodic sequences in real time -- no note programming required.

Get Birds here: https://isotonikstudios.com/product/b...

In this demo we walk through everything Birds offers: four generative styles (Stormo, Ostinato, Cantabile, and Puntillista), eight pitch mutation algorithms, and independent gate evolution controls that keep both the melody and the rhythm moving as the sequence plays.

The core idea is straightforward. Generate a sequence, set your Difference Limit, and Birds will drift away from that original reference and back toward it -- creating variation that stays musical. The bird-on-wire interface shows you exactly which notes are original, which have evolved, and which are inactive, so you always know where the sequence stands.

Whether you're building evolving loop beds, generating melodic material for a live set, or just breaking out of patterns you've played a hundred times, Birds gives you a sequence that works with you rather than sitting still.

Birds reads Ableton Live's scale and root key directly. Use it diatonic for in-key lines or switch scale mode off for chromatic and atonal results. Drive it from Ableton's transport or use MIDI Trigger mode to sync it to external hardware."

BIRDS BY ALESSANDRO AYLESIM MIRACAPILLO

WHAT IF YOUR MELODY COULD WRITE ITSELF?
MAKE YOUR OWN TRIPLE PACK: Buy any three or more Aylesim products at the same time and get a 20% Discount (automatically applied at checkout)

Static sequences repeat. Birds evolves. This MaxforLive instrument generates 16-step melodic sequences and mutates them in real time -- drifting away from the original idea and back again, creating melodies that breathe, shift, and surprise without losing their thread.

Inside you'll find:

Four generative styles -- Stormo, Ostinato, Cantabile, and Puntillista -- each producing distinct melodic character

Eight pitch evolution algorithms including Chromatic, Gravity, Smooth, Drift, Interval, and Rotate

Difference Limit control to set how far the sequence drifts from the original reference

Independent gate evolution with Shuffle, Density, and Chaos controls for rhythmic mutation

Generation tab with full control over density, note range, velocity range, and motif length

Introducing Aline - Compositional Hardware Step Sequencer by TATO Audio

video upload by TATO

via Perfect Circuit

"Combine real-time performance with compositional polish using Aline from Tato Audio, a flexible sixteen-channel sequencer with a variety of different controls for crafting interesting sequences in moments. It uses what's called "Engines" to create these sequences; there are a variety of different Engines, but each one can be divided into two types: Imperative and Parametric. These Engines can be sequenced in tandem with each other using sequencer channels to create new and interesting kinds of sequences, which can be crafted manually by inputting values, or performed using the onboard keyboard. Imperative Engines functions akin to more standard forms of sequencing, directly defining notes, their length, velocity, etc. On the other hand, Parametric Engines center around generative forms of sequencing, allowing you to define a set of parameters and generate phrases based on those values. These sequences can be edited after-the-fact to affect their parameters and structure, or even adjust a note's pitch in real-time along with the scale your sequence is in—this gives you a lot of freedom for evolving your sequences on the fly.

Unlike most sequencers, each of the sixteen channels can be used to sequence a variety of different parameters using Engines, and those individually sequenced parameters can directly interact with each other in groups to create complex phrases that evolve and change over time. Each sequencer channel can be set to different lengths, giving you instant access to complex polyrhythmic parameter modulation for intriguing results. Bring Euclidean rhythms into your sequences, arpeggiate your chords, generate lead lines and chord progressions in an instant, and more using the variety of available Engines.

Blend external MIDI data directly into your sequences using the spectrum of available inputs and outputs; receive clock directly from a host computer using the onboard USB-C port, or integrate your external gear using the TRS 3.5mm MIDI I/O jacks. Bring the flexibility of the Aline right to your Eurorack system using the provided 3.5mm CV jacks, including a clock I/O, and two channels of Pitch, Gate, and Velocity outputs. If you're looking for a new method of creating sequences for your performance or compositions, Aline from Tato Audio is a versatile toolbox full of features for helping you craft novel and exciting sequences.

ALINE FEATURES

16-channel performance sequencer
8 different Engines for generative and standard forms of sequencing
Engines are interactable with each other for complex results
Sequence Saving and Recall
Onboard keyboard for real-time note input
Modular connectivity via 3.5mm CV
MIDI via USB-C and 3.5mm TRS I/O"

Minimal Electronica with Softball MIDI and Digitone | Extra Ball 2026-03-20 by atnr

video upload by atnr

"A minimal electronica piece where MIDI from ‪@noine-giron‬ Softball https://store.noine.net/softball.html is sent to Digitone for sound generation.

Softball by noine runs on a Mac and sends MIDI sequences to the Digitone via USB MIDI, triggering the sound.

On the Digitone, the knobs are used to shape and modify the sound of each track in real time."

Some info on Softball, Google translated:

"A macOS MIDI sequencer that is simply fun to use—featuring the playful motion of a bouncing ball. It is currently available for purchase on Payhip.

・Simple ・Highly expressive ・Fun to use
These three principles form the core of its design. While I do plan to add more features in the future, I intend to remain steadfast in upholding these three fundamental pillars.
DAWs like Ableton Live consolidate almost every conceivable function into a single package, allowing you to do just about anything; I rely on them heavily myself.
However, isn't there also a unique joy in treating individual applications on your computer as distinct modules—combining them in various ways to create something new? This very concept is why I chose to handle MIDI directly rather than developing this as a standard plugin. And, of course, sending MIDI signals out to trigger external hardware instruments is a delight in its own right!
I have intentionally designed the interface to avoid the need for precise note-by-note (Do-Re-Mi) input via a traditional piano roll. Instead, I encourage you to experiment with different keys and scales to find the perfect musical balance that feels right to you. My hope is that you will feel free to create and play sounds in a way that feels natural and accessible.
But why the bouncing ball?
Aren't you a little tired of watching static step sequencers or piano rolls scroll endlessly across the screen?
I felt that the dynamic motion of a bouncing ball had a wonderful synergy with musical rhythm and beat. Plus—let's be honest—it just looks adorable as it bounces along!"

"Kassiopeia is a 4-channel DC interface that lets you control motors, solenoids, LEDs, fans, lights and more with MIDI or CV/Gate.

Tap, shake, vibrate, and move objects to create sound in ways you’ve never imagined. Build kinetic sound installations, trigger solenoids rhythmically, or illuminate objects for an immersive performance.

What if sound wasn’t just about speakers and synthesizers? What if you could make music by striking metal plates, shaking objects, or vibrating strings?

Kassiopeia is a 4-channel DC interface that turns movement into sound and light. It lets you control motors, solenoids, fans, LEDs and lamps using MIDI or CV/Gate. Each channel can either smoothly adjust power levels (great for controlling motors and movement) or send short, punchy triggers (perfect for percussive hits).

Designed for experimental musicians, sound artists, and tinkerers, Kassiopeia lets you:

Trigger solenoids to create percussive rhythms on any object.
Control motors and fans to shak, vibrate, or bow strings.
Control lamps and LEDs for an immersive performance.
Build kinetic sound sculptures that interact with the physical world.
Power-starve devices for glitchy, unpredictable results.
Simply connect it to a laptop via MIDI (Ableton-ready!) or control it with CV/Gate from your modular system.

During its development, we worked closely with Hildur Guðnadóttir and her band Osmium, incorporating ideas from the modified Halldorophone used in the Joker soundtrack. It’s an instrument of endless possibilities—where will you take it?"

KASSIOPEIA actually made its first mention on the site back on May 7, 2025.

Sinevibes Integer – lounge vibes (with JE-8086 synthesizer)

video upload by Sinevibes

"Integer is a digital-analog buffer device, designed and developed by Sinevibes. Available as an effect plugin for Mac, Windows and Linux. Product page: https://www.sinevibes.com/integer"

"Integer is a digital-analog buffer device effect plugin for Mac, Windows and Linux. At its core is a delay engine based on a variable sample rate technology: just like analog “bucket bridge device” chips, this algorithm produces different delay time values by varying the speed of its internal sample clock. The plugin offers multiple buffer size and output interpolation options, as well as an ultra-wide clock range – from just hundreds of Hz up to tens of MHz, making it possible to drastically vary the audio resolution and character. A flexible sine generator is also included for modulating the delay time, with optional stereo expansion and gradual chaotic randomization. Integer has a sophisticated bipolar feedback system with signal amplification, adjustable low-pass and high-pass filters, plus a brick-wall limiter that prevents overloads but lets the signal endlessly loop through the filters and the variable sample rate buffer. Thanks to its elastic, tape-like behavior, the pitch glide effects during delay time changes do not affect what’s in the feedback loop. With all these features combined, Integer is capable of a huge variety of effects – ranging from delay, chorus, flanger to charismatic loops and drones, brick-wall filtering, sample rate manipulation, and anything in between.

Introducing ADDAC System Servo Controller

video upload by ADDAC System

"At ADDAC we always admired the geniality of Neil Young’s Whizzer, way ahead of its time, a great example of how great ingenuity and engineering can come together to make something great.

Inspired by its motor controlled method we created a standalone solution featuring 8 Servo outputs to control any knob on any amplifier, guitar pedal, rack gear, etc. Bottom line any hardware that has a knob that needs to be controlled/sequenced/automated externally.

The idea behind it was to create a device that would open the possibility to control any knob, any physical knob, be it from a musical device or any other tech appliance that “needs” to be controlled, for musical, artistic or automation purposes.

Our solution comes with a Servo Connector that screws into any compatible physical potentiometer, a coupler connects the motor shaft to the target knob which will turn as the Servo turns.
We use servo motors which can be digitally controlled and move to a precise angle. The motors are controlled by a microcontroller that receives MIDI signals or the internal Expression Pedals and converts these signals to the 270 degree Servo motor range.
Each expression pedal input features 2 knobs: MINimum and MAXimum. These are used to set the range of action of the expression pedal, allowing to dial the range to any sweet spot desired. Raising the MINimum knob above the MAXimum knob inverts the Servo range.

It features MIDI over USB-C, Bluetooth MIDI, and a 3.5mm MIDI IN jack. MIDI can come from any of the 3 sources at the same time as long as they don’t overlap the servos channels being controlled."

Free Omnichord Style Plugin - GCS Strum Plate - An Intuitive Strum Plugin

video upload by Gulf Coast Synthesis

"We developed a new plugin that allows users to intuitively strum notes on software instruments. Instead of using the typical autochord style of an Omnichord and other products, you can hold a chord on a midi keyboard and intuitively strum across the gold plate or via the pitch wheel.

Download it now for free at www.gulfcoastsynthesis.com.

Works on all DAWs and operating systems via AAX, AU, VST, and Standalone formats."

Separate Notes from Rhythm

Strum Plate is a MIDI Effect that decouples what you play from when you play it. Inspired by the touchplate interface of the classic Omnichord, it allows you to hold a chord with one hand and "strum" the notes into existence using your mouse or pitch wheel.
