This Elektron Monomachine SFX-6 Keyboard Workstation also comes with:

One (1) Elektron TM-1 'Turbo Midi' USB/Midi In/Out interface
One (1) USB Cable

One (1) Elektron Family Fun Pack ( Pins, decals(?), and promo what-not -please see the pictures above. )

Any other instruments, equipment or items shown in the pictures but not itemized above, is not included in this auction.

In polyphonic mode all 6 voices can be allocated to a single synthesis type. In FM mode the instrument provides very flexible Digitone-sounding response. This is a very flexible synth workstation with multiple synthesis types, external signal processing, synches internal and external midi sequencing, and much more..

The synth is very very clean and absolutely everything works as it should.
The keys have aged to a lovely even bone that gives the instrument a refined vintage appearance. The toning of the white keys -which I personally find elegant- is the only 'issue' preventing me from advertising this instrument as MINT.

The new Owner should be very happy with this sophisticated and unique synthesis workstation."

"If you're looking at this listing, you're probably well aware of what this is and is capable of. If not, here's an excerpt from Wikipedia:

"The Tenori-on is an electronic musical instrument designed and created by the Japanese artist Toshio Iwai and Yu Nishibori of the Music and Human Interface Group at the Yamaha Center for Advanced Sound Technology. It consists of a hand-held screen in which a sixteen-by-sixteen grid of LED switches are held within a magnesium plastic frame. Any of these switches may be activated in a number of different ways to create sounds. Two built-in speakers are located on the top of the frame, as well as a dial and buttons that control the type of sound and beats per minute produced."

It's basically is one of the most fun & innovative electronic music production hardware/instruments. You can use its inbuilt sounds or import your own samples. You can connect MIDI and use the sequencer as master/slave or a controller etc etc. It can be as easy or as deep as you want it.

Condition:

Unit is cosmetically in great condition. All buttons, jog wheel and switches work perfectly and feel great. Lights and screen perfect in operation. Ports and jacks all in excellent condition and connect without issue. Sound is clear and strong from output."

Commodore 64 - Let's Make Some Music! | The Legendary Computer Lives On

Published on Jan 9, 2020 Espen Kraft

"The Commodore 64 with its famous SID-chip really blew everyone away when it was introduced back in 1982.
It could play 3 different sounds at once, but during the years musicians and programmers learned to drop sounds in and out during the course of the music so it gave the impression that there was more than 3 different sounds playing at the same time.

The two different original SID chips, the 6581 and the 8580 has some differencies in sound and capabilities, and there's always discussions going on about which sounds the best. I'm no SID purist, I'm a musician first and I've grown to appreciate the 8580 as the main SID source when I use the C64 in my music.

Korg Arp 2600 Reissue! Video by Perfect Circuit

Published on Jan 9, 2020 Perfect Circuit

"The ARP 2600 is back! Korg has officially announced their reissue of one of the most important synthesizers of all time. The new 2600 is the same size as the original, contains all the original features, and adds a handful of extra niceties critical to integration into the modern musical landscape. Best of all, the new 2600 is a fraction of the price of many vintage instruments—so the 2600 is now more accessible than ever before.

Korg's new ARP 2600 is modeled on early revisions of the classic instrument, providing a huge sound with its three oscillators, resonant lowpass filter, and stereo spring reverb. It includes a recreation of the 3620 keyboard, complete with duophonic operation, integrated LFO, and dedicated performance controllers. The new 3620 adds an integrated arpeggiator, including a sequence mode for playback of up to 128 stored notes.

The 2600 adds XLR outputs, USB MIDI, and MIDI over DIN, as well as selectable filter model for a couple of different flavors of 2600 tone. It also includes a rugged flight case for keeping your instrument safe while you're on the road. A MINI KORG ARP 2600?

Update: I'm hearing this version was just a render and never pursued by KORG. Currently they have no plan other than the Full Sized (FS) version. The question of course is how did these renders end up at GC?

This was spotted on the Guitar Center website. Note the right side of the keyboard is flush with the case. The price is the same $3,899.99 and there is no mention of it being mini. My guess is it's just the perspective of the shots, but who knows?! Maybe they used the wrong pics and a Mini will be the reveal at NAMM, Musikmesse, or Superbooth. :) I heard the full size is a limited run. A Mini would make sense for mass market.

You can find the KORG ARP 2600 announcement post here.

Update via victor in the comments: "3 octaves/ That is indeed probably 3/4 or half the size of the other one. Maybe a cheaper option. It also looks like a rendering so it could be a previous sketch of the other one"

Update2: word is the full size 2600 will be limited to 400 units, not 800 as I originally heard/thought. No mention of a limit for the Mini.

Update3: It looks like the SN for the FS goes up to at least 775. See the update in this post.
