"Internal sampler only -- no external input."
Anyone know if the KAOSSILATOR and KP3 would be redundant, or are the completely different beasts? I kind want both, but if the KP3 can do everything a KAOSSILATOR can, I'll only get it.

Nord Micro Modular Synthesiser
via this auction
"The innovative and flexible architecture of the Nord Modular allows for extensive sound sculpturing. How about a 5-oscillator-per-note synthesizer with 5 LFO’s, two resonant 24 dB/oct low-pass filters with separate envelopes or maybe a fat string sound with 14 oscillators – in stereo. Move your body to a mega fat bass sequence built up with 4 oscillators and a distorted classic analog lowpass filter in combination with a note sequencer module. Or, why not a classic 6 operator FM patch for that “electric” piano sound or a 24 sine wave oscillator patch for additive synthesis.
After you've created a patch using the software you can load it into one of 99 memories within the controller. It can then be used live or in a MIDI studio as a synth module. The simplified controller has a volume knob and 3 other knobs that can be assigned editable parameters. Limited as this might appear, you still get one of the biggest and most powerful modular synthesizer emulator programs in the world. The Micro Modular System is a fraction the cost of the Nord Modular and would be a powerful complement to any serious musicians arsenal.
All your patches can be stored in the Nord Modular synthesizer and recalled later on – also without a computer connected! Stereo analog inputs open up for extensive sound processing possibilities. 16-band vocoding, anyone? Nord Modular has it all. Your imagination is only the beginning...
Running Software 3.0, works perfect but there are some small minor scratches to the synth - purely cosmetic."
Two videos in the auction. Both previously posted, but worth posting again.

The Nord Micro Modular is "a somewhat stripped down version of the massive Nord Modular system" (from Vintage Synth Explorer). Clavia has discontinued this product several years ago, and never released a similar product. Thus this red small box has been a very unique product so far.
I love this synth too, but there is only one complaint -- Give me more knobs!!

MFB SYNTH LITE II

Uploaded on Jan 7, 2007 Denkitribe's channel·79 videos
"MFB-SYNTH LITE II is a little monophonic synthesizer from Berlin. I like this sweet little box, but also I found some bad points.
Good points: It has a very analog-ish sound character (although it uses digital oscillators). Suboscillator and ring modulator give it much complexity. It offers not only warm sounds but also fat and dirty sounds.
It has an intuitive interface in spite of its small size. I think it is well designed "as it should be".
Bad points: In fact, LITE II is not a reliable product. Its built-in step sequencer has many flaws. Overall sound quality is not good (there is noticeable amount of noise). OSC-sync and PWM don't work right."
