Those of you that know me know i'm more of a hardware guy.
However every now and again a plug in comes along that really blows me away. Synthmaster One most definitely falls into that category!

For this soundset the guys at KV331 Audio sampled my OB-6 and Prophet 6 with great care and detail. They then sent me an updated version of Synthmaster One containing the samples and i was extremely impressed with how well they sounded. It really did sound like i was playing my OB-6/P6.
I used these samples to create many of the sounds in this set, including some of my signature patches that you may have heard in my previous OB-6 and P6 soundsets. This may be music to the ears of those of you who like my OB6 and P6 soundsets but can't use them as you don't own those synths.

One thing i really enjoyed whilst making this soundset was having the ability to mix analog style oscillators with FM or Wavetables style oscillators. To be able to create sounds that sound like the love child of a DX7 & Juno 60 is so exciting and incredibly inspiring to me. This feature has enabled me to create certain sounds within this soundset that i simply couldn't do with my hardware.

As mentioned above this soundset is free with the latest version of Synthmaster One so if you haven't yet updated, do so.

"SynthMaster 2 has become one of my favorite synths. It's powerful, flexible, easy to use, and sounds great. And you can make tons of really good synth patches without too much trouble. SynthMaster 2 used to be only on computers but they've recently released an iPad version and it's a major benefit to now be able to easily take it everywhere. I happen to like large swirly textures, and SynthMaster 2 excels at that sort of thing. And you can make any number of other types as well, of course. This one uses the vector and wavetable oscillators along with a pile of LFOs to provide that sweet, sweet swirling action. So while this isn't exactly a SynthMaster 2 tutorial you can probably get a good idea of how the synth works as I take apart the patch I made."

We all know very well how difficult it is sometimes to create a suitable chain of Basslines. From high notes to very deep, it is very not fast to connect all this into a logical chain.
