Connection - A Live Ambient Soundscape - Noisebox, Analog Radio, Novation Peak, Alchemy, Albion Neo

video upload by Mark Farrelly

"A live ambient improvisation using a homemade Noisebox (soundbox), Novation Peak Synthesiser, Analog Radio, Alchemy Synthesiser and Spitfire Audio's Albion Neo Strings. The Noisebox is amplified with three piezoelectric sensors and then sent through an ambient reverb. The Analog Radio is from 1975 and has a manual tuning knob. The Radio is sent through a passive switcher, with mute and volume controls, the signal is then sent through delays. The Novation Peak plays a custom lead synth patch. Alchemy is playing a custom complex evolving drone patch with the volume controlled from the Arturia Keylab MIDI keyboard, which is also used to play the Peak and the Albion Neo string section by switching midi channels. All the sounds are sent through instances of Eventide Blackhole reverb. Footage is from around where I live in Ireland."

Outland // Moog Model D app

video upload by Stefano Mattia

"In this brief, peaceful composition I used the awesome Moog Model D app in Logic Pro for all the melodic parts. It's such a versatile plugin, and it sounds really great.

Drums are stock Logic Pro samples.
Reverb and Delay by Valhalla. There's a bit of Soundtoys Crystalliser too.
Field recordings by Cymatics and myself.

Future House For Logic Pro X & Synthmaster 2

video upload by Igor Leus

"Buy Here -
NatLife Sounds glad to present you Future House For Logic Pro X & Synthmaster 2.

Future House is a part of Expansions for Synthmaster 2/iOS, the library which fully focused on Bass sound and its varied recreations. If you looking concretely for bass - you are in the right place. As we all know the bass sound is the main thing of any House Music sub-genres.

We all know very well how difficult it is sometimes to create a suitable chain of Basslines. From high notes to very deep, it is very not fast to connect all this into a logical chain. That's why for this purpose, we present our Logic Pro X Templates. These are 4 Bass-Templates, that are maximally worked out at all levels, using which you can achieve new results very quickly, without unnecessary headaches.

Plus to the all we used only Logic's native Drum plugins for creating stunning rhythms. Overall you will have 22 Synthmaster Basses and 14 Drum Tracks in one project. And its color-separated into 4 different tracks.

Soundpack contains:

51 Synthmaster 2/iOS Presets
4 Logic Pro X Templates (in one project!)
14 Drum Tracks"

It also includes 4 Logic Pro X Templates in one, and tons of automatization, which shows you well how to do a real banger transition between Performed sounds. No matter what style of music you working on, the sound library can cover any of your sound dreams. Just move your hand with a Perform section and you will see the beauty of sound morphing.

You can't even imagine how much each sound in this library can change. From typical Moog bass to unimaginable lush Pad's. We can't name our sound as Bass or Pluck, just because with the next Perform step it will be a Cinematic FX!

All the pack contains:

50 Alchemy Presets with 8 Perform variations per sound. In other words, it's = 400 sounds. Logic Pro X Templates cover 4 Demo Tracks (Progressive Trance, Dark Techno, House & Ambient styles) in it. Drum sounds directly from Logic Pro X Ultrabeat and Drum Machine Designer

Virtual ROLAND GAIA Software Programmer for LOGIC v4 - X

Available on Reverb and eBay

"This software is a virtual ROLAND GAIA programmer for use with the Roland GAIA polyphonic synthesizer. It simulates a hardware programmer in a software environment within the APPLE LOGIC audio / sequencer program (formerly Emagic LOGIC). To use this software you MUST have a valid copy of LOGIC on your computer (see below) as well as a USB cable or MIDI interface which connects your computer via cable to your GAIA synthesizer. This software CANNOT be used as a stand alone application under any circumstances. It will not run in Reason, Ableton, AU, VST or any other plug-in format. It was created and is presented through use of the LOGIC “environment” architecture.

Upon purchase, you will ultimately receive a ZIP archive of the editor you purchased for Logic. UNZIP this archive and you will have a choice of LOGIC song documents (v9 > vX) you can now open in the Logic program (please send special request for versions pre-v9 or PC if you require them). Once open, you will see the editor on your screen and you can then discover the pleasures of a virtual GAIA programmer for your synth.

* Remote control of all front panel functions of the GAIA and other non-panel functions in realtime
* Designed for single or selectable multi-oscillator control from one master control panel
* Remote access to many relevant Global functions
* Recordable moves in realtime to your Logic sequencer for dynamic integration into sequences
* Audition Keyboard
* Patch RESET function for initialized patch and FX parameters
* Provides patch selection access to all 16 channels of Roland’s included GM sound module

All real time moves are recordable by the Logic sequencer for repeatable real time changes on playback - or you can automate using HYPERDRAW. You may also remotely control these SYSEX faders and buttons via a hardware control surface if you take the time to tailor the controls to suit your individual hardware. This is not difficult to do and needs only be done once and then saved for future sessions.

The editor consists of two programmer pages and resides in one layer of the LOGIC environment hierarchy in it's own SONG document. Importable to your own personal AUTOLOAD song for automatic pre-load before any new session."

Ambient Dreams 001 [Waldorf Wave, Valhalla Reverb, Logic Drum Synth]

Star Diver

"When I first started making synth music during semester breaks in college, I'd turn the lights down low, late at night and just trip out to ambient synths and drums washed in reverb, for hours... I've had that experience in my mind since 1993. I'm now heading back to my creative home..."

Synth Sounds of Hall & Oates "I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)" | Reverb

Published on Mar 22, 2018 Reverb

"Hall & Oates' 'I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)' figures heavily our collective life soundtrack, and, unsurprisingly, it's equally consequential as a turning point for the insurgence of synthesizers in popular music. Here, William Kurk breaks down the sounds and techniques that make the synth sounds of this pop classic an ephemeral favorite.

VIRTUAL JD-990 editor / programmer for Logic

Available on Reverb
The maker wrote in to let us know the editor is now compatible "in Logic X 10.3.3 but has been incompatible since 8 on and is still only working now in 4-7 and 10.3.3 - still no go in v8 - 9, up to X 10.3.2." A little confusing, but there you have it. :) Know your versions.

"This software is a Virtual JD-990 synthesizer programmer for use with the ROLAND JD-990 synthesizer (only possible in Logic 4-7 and Logic X 10.3.3 or higher). It emulates the JD-800 front panel plus adds the additional JD-990 parameters in a software environment within the APPLE LOGIC audio/sequencer program (formerly Emagic Logic). To use this software you MUST have a valid copy of LOGIC on your computer (see below) as well as a MIDI interface which connects your computer via MIDI cable to your hardware synthesizer.

This software CANNOT be used as a stand alone application under any circumstances. It will NOT run in Ableton, Reason, AU, VST or any other host - it is not a plug-in but one importable layer of the Logic environment."
