The Eurorack plays a random melody, sequenced by the Turing Machine module. The Tinysizer is sequenced by the Tenori-On and the rest of the synths are sequenced by the MPC 1000. Vermona DRM1 drums are sent through and mixed with the Digitech Bad monkey overdrive guitar pedal.

Simon the Sorcerer - Main Theme on Modular Synthesizers, Volca Beats & MicroBrute #TTNM

"Synthesizer cover of the main theme from the Simon the Sorcerer video game soundtrack.

The original score was composed by Adam Gilmore from Media Sorcery for the "Simon the Sorcerer" point and click adventure computer game, made by Adventure Soft. My arrangement is based on the video game music of the DOS version, adapted for monophonic synthesizers and re-arranged a little here and there ;-)

- MIDI tracks and MIDI clock sent from Ableton Live to the Vermona qMI MIDI-CV module
- Five voices total, plus drums
- Main bass melody by the Tinysizer
- Additional bass by the Micro Brute

"IT's about time to patch up the Tinysizer and Minisizer together.

The Tinysizer plays a simple mono synth voice through its delay and reverb effects, with the CV sequence coming from the MicroBrute, which also sequences its own bass line and the Minisizer's chaotic FM sound. The Tiny and Mini also modulate each other a little bit. The Volca Beats provides drums and master clock."

The Tinysizer (big square thing) receives MIDI and aftertouch CV from the Keystep, triggering two different synth voices - one with MIDI, one with aftertouch CV. There is some cross modulation happening especially at the end with the use of the mod wheel, which sends some crazy FM to the VCOs.

The Minisizer (small rectangle thing) does three drum voices running on its internal square wave LFOs. Ha! :D

The Tinysizer's modular synth modules are connected directly to the Hameg Oscilloscope's X and Y inputs. Like this I can move the oscilloscope beam in two dimensions using the fluctuating voltages from LFOs, smoothed by a Low Pass Filter. You should experiment with this freely, as there are lots of other cool shapes to be made, by combining different modules. Of course this works with any kind of modular synthesizer, for example a Eurorack Modular Synth.
