ECHOA STEREO DUAL DELAY AND REVERB PROCESSOR

Four delay lines total — two per stereo channel. Morph delay into reverb from first principles, from clean digital delay to smeared, textured reflections. Route the four lines in series, parallel, isolation, or spectrally. Presets, parameter lock on every pot, character engines, and more.

TIME
Delay time from 1 ms to 16 seconds, up to four taps per delay line, configurable for your sound design. Feedback up to and past unity, and a dry/wet mix per channel. Freeze delay buffers, set tempo with tap on the line buttons, or patch a clock and lock each line to a musical division. Linear or logarithmic time taper options: a full featured, clean delay line.

SPACE
Bend echoes into reverb. Diffusion sweeps a four-stage Schroeder all-pass network from discrete repeats to a wash. Bloom grows short, fixed loops into long modulated plate and hall tails. Damping is bipolar from noon — counter-clockwise darkens the tail, clockwise thins and brightens it.

ENGINE
Degrade each line's voice across with four engines — digital, BBD, tape, vinyl. Saturation, bandwidth limiting, compander, wow and flutter, hiss, crackle, digital glitches. Depth scales from bit-pristine bypass, to a gentle touch of character, to destruction.

CONFIGURABLE FOR PERFORMANCE ROUTING
Parallel, series, mono, or spectral delay-line topologies.

CV MAPPING
Per-CV destination, with attenuverters on every input.

"Hexadic Dreams (for Rachel Yoder) is inspired by the number six as well as Ben Chasny's Hexadic System, an algorithmic musical composition system based upon drawing randomly from a standard deck of playing cards. Rather than drawing from a deck of cards, in Hexadic Dreams the modular synthesizer algorithmically makes decisions between six choices in a multitude of ways. Six different tones of the bass clarinet have been pre-recorded by Rachel and these tones are chosen randomly as well as processed randomly using granular synthesis (with Instruo Arbhar). Hexadic Dreams is written in a hexatonic scale (or six-note scale). A quartet of brass like tones plays hexatonic chords using two Buchla 258T oscillators. The clarinet is also mimicked with electronic oscillators, using pitch tracking and amplitude tracking techniques with the Disting EX Tracker algorithm. In addition, using a sustain pedal the clarinetist can (at will) play and write or insert new 1V/octave control voltages into a looping circular buffer using the U-he CVilization MuCorder algorithm."

Lil' Nicky (Erica Synths mki x es.edu DIY synthesizer full system)

"This is a demonstration video for the Erica Synths mki x es.edu full system. The recorded audio is completely raw mono direct from the synthesizer with no added effects etc. I built the synthesizer (which I named "Lil' Nicky") including the case with kits designed by Moritz Klein and released by Erica Synths. Lil' Nicky is patched mostly with purple 18" cables by Luigi's Modular. The purple and black look of the synthesizer/ cables as well as it's name is an homage to the pop icon, Prince."

Durham, NC (March 7, 2017): Today, Moogfest reveals its lineup of musical performers, led by Flying Lotus, Animal Collective, Gotye, Suzanne Ciani, Derrick May, 808 State, Simian Mobile Disco, Syrinx, Jessy Lanza, and Function. Building on the experimental format of previous years, Moogfest continues to integrate Future Sound (performances) and Future Thought (conference) programming, with many of these artists also leading sessions during the daytime conference program.

Moogfest’s trademark mix of intimate venues and masterful collaborations creates an unforgettable experience festival-goers will not find anywhere else. Experimental electronic and avant-garde dance music is complemented by thematic programming like Black Quantum Futurism, Protest, and Techno-Shamanism that span day-into-night.
