"Bloop Groop, Dublin's hardware-synth hub famous for its low-pressure “Hang, Jam, Play” sessions, announces its debut 3-day Weekender from Friday 20 to Monday 23 March 2026, with live electronic shows, low-stakes sets, maker demos, talks and hands-on DIY.

Since late 2024, Bloop Groop - founded by Caroline Swords and Gary Byrne - has quietly grown into a regular fixture of Dublin’s electronic music calendar, hosting informal meets where newcomers and old pros share short, loud hardware sets to a friendly crowd. The project now counts a core membership (and surprisingly civilized WhatsApp community) in the hundreds, with over 150 live performances hosted across jams, meets and gigs in Dublin City spaces like The Digital Hub and Trinity College Dublin. The gang shares knowledge, support, and collaborates on music. And, of course, buys and sells each other gear!"

"Experimental electronic music ensemble 'Analog On', CD release tonight in TCD #Dublin: … #moog #synth @matrixsynth"

"A public performance followed by a short talk by Analog On, an experimental electronic music ensemble that composes and performs on vintage analogue electronics and modular synthesizers. The group consists of Shauna Caffrey on oscillator, saw and electronics, and Richard Duckworth from the School of Creative Arts at Trinity College Dublin on modular synthesizer and effects.

The Analog On made their debut at the Ideopreneurial Entrephonics II festival at the Freemasons’ Hall in April 2016, and has just finished recording this – their first release – on the iconic Moog System 55 in the cockpit of the Moog Sound Lab at the Tonmeister Studio in Surrey. The aesthetic is that of the time-warp cultist with retro and future aesthetics co-existing in the same cultural and temporal space.

This album is a musical homecoming for Richard Duckworth as he studied analog synthesis under Herb Deutsch at Hofstra University in the 1980s: this is where he was first introduced to the Moog modular system and he spent many hours in the electronic music studio experimenting with voltage-controlled systems. Shauna Louise Caffrey is a musicology major at Trinity College. Her life-long love of experimental soundtrack led her to join Analog On, and since then she has delighted in the creation of 'weird noise' and bizarre soundscapes through mixed media."

"A little while ago I told you about the Axoloti and how much I like it. But because it’s just a bare pcb without casing, I didn’t get to use it in practical context very much. Now I had a little time to design a 3d-printable enclosure. I call it AxoStomp and it features:
– 8 faders (from a Korg Nano Control)
– 4 Arcade-Buttons with leds.
– robust, parametric design, made with OpenScad (excluding the front plate for the connectors which is derived from Jens Groh’s design). The code lacks comments and needs refactoring, but it may be useful to somebody…
