MaxMSP Glitch

YouTube via Quadrange
"Unintentional Glitch Program i made when trying to make a graintable synth. i then elaborated on it and added a couple things to it to make some glitch action."

Genn 2.0 Max/MSP Generative Sequencer

"Generative Max/MSP patch ive been making for a couple days now. It's based on the concept of Autechre's aeTM3.3 patch.

it still needs a lot of elaboration/organization of effects and such. i just added the effects today which i will have ease more and more into it as the song progresses.

hook me some feedback on this because its my third attempt at making a generative sequencer and the first one i put some effort/time into, so i need some constructive criticism. i'm thinking of making counters keep track of what notes, and how many times they play, in the "HighS" synth and making it play different notes based on that to make it sound a little less obviously 95% random. good idea?

oh, by the way. 2:20.... gantz graf anyone?"

Ameqc - Euseurism

"IDM, ambient, something or other.

I made it with a program i made in Max/MSP and i included a screenshot of one of the numerous windows. I'll make it longer than 2 minutes sometime. i was really just fucking around with it live for 2 minutes, then i sent it to my buddy to see what he thought of it."

PCB adaptations of bits of the Buchla Music Easel

via abovenyquist in this electro-music.com thread in August:

"I've been working on PCBs of adaptations of bits of circuitry from the Music Easel:

users.ece.gatech.edu/~lanterma/buchla/boards

I am attempting to gauge interest for doing a run. I have boards for the balanced modulator, timbre circuit, pulser, envelope generator, preamp & envelope detector, and lowpassgate. I need to revise the first three before doing another run, so I'm not sure when I'll get around to that.

These should be considered advanced projects - the documentation is sparse and the boards are dense.

E-mail me at lanterma at ece dot gatech dot edu if you are interested in trying to build some of these - I just want to get a head count for planning purposes."

Signal Arts Tetra MAPS Sequencer in Eurorack

via the Big City Music blog

"...a sequencer that is more robust, versatile, flexible, intuitive and user-friendly than any other comparable sequencer. Which other sequencer allows you infinite virtual tracks, modulations or multiple, REAL-TIME versions of one sequence? Which other step sequencer allows polyphony with only one sequence?"

"Yet another amazing meeting for synthesizer enthusiasts!

On 2009 September the 5th and 6th the 3rd synthesizer meeting in Kufstein Austria was held. A lot of rare synthesizers gear were shown again. But also contemporary Synthesizer manufacturers and developers i.e. Curtronic, Doepfer, GRP etc. were present in person."

You might recognize the blue DIY modular in the shot below from this post way back in 2007. Click on the Kufstein label below for all posts including videos.
